I will be fine, please do not bring this crap up in this thread anymore, we all know about vehicle eligibility lists and what cars are or are not on them. You are not the first or only person to ever try to kick some knowledge on this subject my way, but as I said before, I am well aware of the risks and am doing what I have to do to get my car over there. I am well aware of what customs can and cannot do, I am well aware of the requirements to get it over there and I also know that I will NOT be the first one to bring an S15 into the United States. There is a Kaizo one for sale in California right now IIRC (was in a recent Super Street or Import Tuner or some shit like that).

Let me also highlight one thing - What part about this car indicates that I intend to drive it on the street?? A daily driven 900+ HP Silvia will require more maintenance then a freaking ferrari to keep running properly as a daily.

So anyways this goes for you and everyone else in this thread. Leave the importation process out of it. It has nothing to with building a car. I can afford to ship it back to Japan if need be and should the need arise I will simply take a small vacation back here, stay with some friends and part the fucker out to recover as much cash as possible and carry on to the next project. I am not attached to this car in any way shape or form so ditching it if necessary is no big deal to me.

So with all of that crap said, the importation discussion/debate is over.

I have a Kaizo car myself, please get your facts straight before you give out recommendations on what people should do, b/c they are not correct.

If you purchase a Kaizo Unibody it won't come with a drive-train! Kaizo's should not be referred to as Nissans! There is no Nissan Badging on a Kaizo anywhere! All labels, data plates and documentation is clearly marked "Kaizo". Kaizo unibodies go through a re-manufacturing process, prior to leaving Japan, where a variety of modifications are made, thus earing its right to wear the Kaizo name! The unibodies are sold with Kaizo MSO's as well as Custom Clearance documentation. Usually, once completed, they are titled and registered as SPCNS (special construction) or Kit Cars.

Installing an RB26 in a Kaizo R34 that you purchased, would not constitute any crime, as long as your state permits the construction of kit cars, utilizing engines that may not conform to the EPA standards!

he has said multiple times that this is not going to be a daily driver, and it is not going to be a strict drag car. i believe he wanted to use it for the silver state classic which is more long distance high speed racing (cursed can clarify).

Well I came on here to see if there were any updates on the DSG 240RS and look at some other builds and behold this thread was revived from the dead.

To all you guys dissing Themadscientist - He was just joking and is actually a friend of mine over here. he constantly gives me shit and is one of the many octane boosters that feed my OCD. I really hate it when he does that shit, but he is a cool dude and was just joking around.

Slidealliance - I finally found some cheap ass used tires with like 90 percent tread to stick on the gram lights. They are 255/45/18 so they look o.k. at best (Can't complaint when they ran me 200.00) Anyways, the wheels are mounted, now I just have to fix the camera and post some pics. I will have that done hopefully by the weekend. They are NOT the permanent tires, but they will work for getting the car around the shop.

I would like to use the car for Drag and high speed things. For now it will be drag when I get it back, and then when time permits, I will scout out a suitable chasis/fabrication shop to have a proper cage and safety equipment installed for the high speed stuff.
