How did you prep the metal before painting it?

used self etching primer on a the raw metal spots, then used scotch brite pads to scuff it up then washed the whole car out with dawn dish soap after that dryed i wiped it down with lacquer thinner.

Manual seatbelts would rub the seat at that part, I would think.

No idea on the bandanna thing... I used to have it on the steering hub but it looked retarded. As for the double din it's a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD; I love it, haha.

Naw, when you sit in it, the shoulder pushes it out a bit, plus the top part doesn't move back and forth to rub and it has minimal contact when it retracts. The only rubbing occurs is on the lower-right bolster where the harness slot is

Does it every skip/ are your springs on full stiff? Im full stiff and it skips, but i think only cause the car idle has slight lobe and it rattles the headunit.

Its old as shit, like a 2004 kenwood unit so idk

yeah...because everyone is the same size and has the seat in the same position...

if you were a smaller guy, your seat would be farther up and your shoulder wont do shit to keep it from rubbing through, ask me how i know.

but if the OP has it there and doesnt even know why.....:ghey:
