Nope Ive never seen his helmet haha. I just got my plotter a few weeks ago. I just now experimented with applying vinyl to curves. I think Im going to redo a few of the ones that were cut off. I bought the "deal with it" from John at sticker gfx; i dont have any see-through vinyl yet.

What kind of vinyl are you guys using? I just picked up a used Graphtec CE5000-60 and it came with a bunch of Oracal 651 and the quality is mediocre. On the Oracal site I saw that they also have the 751 which is a cast vinyl instead of calendered but I wasnt sure if the 3M 7100 cast would be a better material for the money.

idk, ive been buying the 651 and its been doing me fine. cuts easy and weeds good. for the price im not sure you can get much better. They have their 751 and 951 premium series but you are going to pay alot more for it.

Maybe the 651 that I have has just been sitting around for too long or something. Im gonna try to order a few new rolls from Ordway Sign Supply to see if I can get any better results.

Have any of you guys used that 3M 7100 or the Oracal 751? They both cost around twice as much as the 651 but I just wanted to see if they're worth that extra dough.

I've been using 651 as well, works well for me, but perhaps I will give 751 and 951 a shot and see if it's worth it and if i do i will be sure to report back.

I have, however been looking forever for a "chrome" that cuts and weeds well.
