Besides some guy hitting my girlfriends brand new E93 M3, which was parked....because he has a radiator in his rear window and cant see out of it.......and runining our day and made me not even want to drive anymore...the event was awesome....lol

hey guys. I have a few questions for u locals...

my wife and I are considering moving there at the end of the summer. I wanted to get some insight into what its like living there. ups and downs, opinions, whatever. ive been a few times but only to the strip like every tourist.

moving from san diego. things I know...

cost of living is way cheaper.
heat can be brutal in the summer.
awesome night life.

questions...

Hows the S-chassis scene?
is car theft bad out there?
how are the cops compared to socal? rules and regs and all that. I drive slow, so really just worried about fix it tickets etc. loud v8 swap.

any other good or bad experiences for those of you that have moved to vegas from other cities?

Hows the S-chassis scene?(drift scene is big,tons of 240's during the events.... people seem to be more serious about the scene here then cali.. because in Cali, theres a lot of posers/ parkers//just go to meet kind of people.. ) but I dotnt see many big car meets like in Cali.. but the enthusiasts are out there, I always see nice 240's

is car theft bad out there? (not that I know of.) and my insurance is cheaper now.

(theres very few cops that care about modded cars/ as long as your not speeding or making a shit ton of noise)

Pool parties are the best!!! good shopping here too..

What do you plan on working with? any jobs lined up?

yeah, love the pools there. ill actually be at wet republic the 9th and rehab the 10th. my wife and her girls do those bikini contest there each summer and win a bunch of cash.

will work for 24 hr fitness. want to pick up a 2nd job there as well. something fun like 2 nights a week.

There's a lot of 240s in town, decent community.
Thefts seem occur in bursts, depends on the part of town. It's a high ticket car so an alarm and garage are a must have for me.
The only time a cop has stopped me was outside my house. He just wanted to know what exhaust I had since he was looking for one for his Speed3.

I'm not into the night life or drifting, but locals seem to welcome everyone for the most part. There's big meets if you go to the right spots, but beware Civic owners.

I'm still hoping to find someone with LS swapped S chassis to show me the car/hook me up with a ride...I'm close to closing on the sale of my s2000 so I'll be doing a lot of research on doing the swap into an s chassis or jsut getting a terminator cobra or something with a v8 out of the box instead
