The car itself is exactly that, hype. There's nothing wrong at all with that car, I personally like it and think its a nice build. However, you guys keep falling for the smoke and mirrors - ITS A CELEBRITY BUILD. Its not a real build. Its the equivalent of some random dude paying SHOP X tens of thousands of dollars to build a car for him. Not bad, but not grassroots either. Dude is a celebrity, he needs to stay relevant and companies like Greddy need to stay in the limelight. The import industry has really gone downhill since the recession, so any build that is clean is a good build, in my opinion. As long as we keep away from doing stupid shit (PimpYourRide or Haggard whatever), then its all good.

My criticism of the Fugu Z (without driving it), is that they neutered the engine. Personally, after working on several of my friends S30s, these cars are very weak. The RB26DETT is *WAY* too much for that chassis. The S30 is weaker than our S-chassis. I think the S30 is the predecessor to the S-chassis more than it is to the Z-chassis. RB26DE sounds good and I am sure drives good, but you're going to get a lot of slack from people who expect more engine than they do car. Still a nice setup, though.

All of the work on the car was extremely clean and it was very well built overall. I feel like it was just way too popular without having any significant background story, other than Sung Kang was paying for it and Greddy is building it. The car itself was cool in it's own respect, just WAYYYYY overhyped.

I would rather spend my time looking at quality builds on this forum. They are far more inspiring to me than that S30.

fuguz is a better build than 95 % of american datsun builds..
I wont comment on style, but just the parts selection.

The more and more I got into what im trying to do with my Z, the more i see small details that just dont pull off the look. Typical american Zs will rock typical bananaspoke reps (or the popular trailer wheels), fender flares that are copied from a copy of a copy of zg flares (which end up with poor fitment and having to use fender welting), and whateverfendermirrorstheycanfindtoavoidpayingforau thenticmirrors (one word lol)

These 2 cars really look nothing alike. Not saying that the top one is wrong, its just not as good looking as the one its trying to mimic.

Most stuff you get from companies can be found cheaper on ebay / china. PBM hydro grips are like $5 on ebay, ISIS coils can be ordered in bulk on alibaba. Hell you can get a vertex knock off for $50 shipped....
