My speedometer also stopped working. At one point it jumped around. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't.

I thought it would just be the speed sensor but could the cluster really be dead?

Everything else works except the speedometer

found a conversion for hkPa and cmHg to PSI here: Blitz Boost controller Conversion - RX7Club.com

so I got an s14 sr Cometic gasket, 88mm, I have a stock bore s13 sr, 86mm. I've heard different things about my bore and the gasket itself, would it have a negative effect on my motor? do I need to get the proper size gasket or is this one still good to use?

If it's not the speed sensor its the cluster. Same thing happened in my accord. I I had a jumpy speedo, that died periodically. Changed sensor first, nothin. Changed cluster, problem solved.

Most keys are made to accept 2 sockets make sure your using the socket that completely covers the key is should be a deep socket cause you can put one on the end or slide one completely over. Slide it all the way over

Which way is the S13 driveshaft loop supposed to be installed?

Let us say the piece on the left is #1 and the piece on the right is #2. The sides facing us are side A, and the sides they are lying on are side B.

Which piece faces down towards the ground and which side should face the transmission?
Thank you!

"side A" should face the transmission. the piece on the left should go on top the one on the right on the bottom. Piece on the left is flat so it should mate well with the underside of your car.

turbo lines

i just want to make sure i have all of my lines connected properly.
i have this one (nearest to the exhaust ports)

By e5s4y at 2012-03-30
going here (with turbo connected to mani, this is pointing towards the strut tower)

By e5s4y at 2012-03-30
then i have this one (bottom of the block, has the oil restrictor in it)

By e5s4y at 2012-03-30
going here (on top of the turbo, under the mani, this is actually where the restrictor is)

By e5s4y at 2012-03-30
and then this one (coolant line from behind the head) going here (opposite side of the first one, facing the block)

thanks guys, just making sure i don't blow my turbo or bottom end, ha

I'd switch the first line to the other way around. With the fitting with the bend on the turbo and the straight one on the block. Meh.

its not your rings, you have good compression because your piston rings are good and so are you valves, BUT!!!!!!!!!, you VALVE GUIDES from your exhaust side are bad, or atleast 1 is. Its ok its not a big problem, just take your head to a shop and tell them to replace your exhaust valve guides

Reason for this is because oil from the top of your head were your cams are is going down trough your vguides and out the exhaust, your car will still run fine like this, but im sure you dont want to be driving around with smoke coming out your exhaust

I need a MAF (maybe).

Long short, KA24 starts fine, but dies after a couple second or if throttle is applied. Unplug MAF, it idles like a champ. MAF sucks right? Right.

Second question: So far as I can tell, the 93-95 Altima KADE shares the same MAF as the S13 KADE. Why the hell is one so much more expensive than the other, if this is true? Is this true? Hook it up!
KA24DE Problem - YouTube
Added a video to show the issue w/MAF.

Just wanted to make sure on this:

I have an S13 Blacktop
I want to go ahead and get a PowerFC, and the one I have found is for a Red top.

From what I have heard, it's just a matter of switching a few wires or something along those lines and it will work just fine.

Can anyone else chime in on this?
