Hey guys, im getting prepped to relocate my fusebox in my 95 S14 SE. Adjacent to the large fusebox the is a smaller box for 3 relays. One of them is blank, the other says Lamp, and the last one says Anti-Theft. I know i can delete the anti-theft relay but which lamps does that other relay control? I'd like to get rid of it if i can but i have no clue what it goes to.

Where is the best place to buy OEM plugs and pins for the chassis harness (S13 if it matters)? I gutted my interior and I'd like to clean up the wiring, but some of the original plugs are missing/broken...mostly for the column, cluster and front lights.

Thanks!

^Wiring specialties sells a connector and pin repair kit.. if youre looking for body harness good luck.. youre better of using completely new plugs like delphi connectors

Maybe I'll just hack some off a junk yard car and solder then up to fresh wire. The main ones i need are two for the turn signal stalk.

Best bet is to hit up the local section.

It's actually not hard. Just time consuming.

So I figured out that you don't need the auto control unit anymore after goin to a Manuel trans..my question again is can I also completely remove all wiring for the auto control unit?the main reason why I haven't is because in the wiring is the inhibitor and nuetral safety wiring..and I'd need those for it to start and have reverse lights..so how did you guys go about removing it? And I have a s13 sr swapped with a wiring specialties harness..

Hey guys Im in the process of getting all my wiring back together so I can get my S14 up and running. I have relocated the battery to the trunk and the fusebox has been relocated under the dash. So basically I am having to rerun all of my power supply to my fusebox under the dash, alt, and starter. Below is a picture of how I plan to have power supplied to everything. Wanted to see if you guys could check it out and make sure all looks well before I go switching the power on and poppin fuses or worse case burning the car to the ground. I have spent hours combing the fsm and I think I have it pretty much setup the way it was originally, just with things moved around a bit. Any input is much appreciated.

The 8 awg coming out of the distro block will feed the 100amp fuse where the two white w/ red striped wires used to feed straight off the battery. The alternator will come off the post on the fusebox. I believe that is the way it was from the factory.

As related to my previous post, what do you plan to loom with?

Get to it! Drawing looked good, rebuild that whole harness!

Ps - matej does your car run these days?

Ill be using Techflex flame retardent loom with their dual wall adhesive line shrink tubing. Might go another step and use some kevlar loom for the O2's, MAFS, and CAS as these will all be relatively close to high heat sources. (MAFS and CAS will run down the driverside of valvecover as I hate having the draped across the front like factory) All the wiring is still factory for the most part. Just alot was deleted via de-pinning and a lot of shortening of wires. The car has been down for 5 years so Im just now at the point of having the engine in running condition. So before I do any final routing and looming I wanted to make sure everything works as it should seeing as all of my harness work has been completed over the years. Gotta make sure I didn't miss anything before I make it pretty!

Well went ahead and pulled the front chassis harnes out all the way to the firewall, for the third time. Stripped it all back down to bare wires lengthened a few things that I wasn't satisfied with the first time. Also took all the grounds from the pass. side and ran them to one wire, did the same with all the driver side grounds, and then terminated them all in one spot. Reloomed the entire harness with techflex fire retardent sleeving and Dual Wall 4:1 adhesive lined heat shrinked. Drilled a hole in the upper frame rail close to the firewall and routed the harness through the frame rail and out the front through another hole I drilled. By the way this part was a PITA so I HIGHLY recommend you have everything loomed exactly the way you want it and make sure everything is in working order first!!! Ill post the pix of the finish product but if anyone is interested in the process pix just pm me. Still waiting on some more heat shrink to finish up a couple connections since I ran out.

Out of the firewall into the frame rail.

Out the front of the frame rail.

The two new grounds for all lights, amb. temp. sensor, and brake master.

Driver side runs.

Pass side runs.
