A haltech on an lsx motor is a complete waste of money. They can be fully tuned with efi live or hptuners with the stock bcm. They basically come stock with a full stand alone.

Most convert to mechanical throttle/pedal for two reasons. (1) it's mechanical so it's easy to adjust. (2) the part options are slightly greater as far as throttle bodies.

I personally chose to stick with the electronic pedal because you can adjust the sensitivity to your liking. You can also tune the idle position extremely well were aggressive camshafts can be fairly well "tamed" at idle. It's all personal preference.

I know it's not the same, but my 2011 Versa has Electronic Throttle, and it's quite sluggish, especially when the Traction Control is on...

Is this one similar? or does have good response. I know for the versa, and it's probably the same for this system, there are aftermarket addons that can be added to tune the pedal response... Are you thinking about doing this?

Or is all that configurable from the ECU with a tune?

Just some LSx noob questions

yeah its just how they tune it from factory. most of your eco"gas saving" are like that. one of the many ways they help you save gas.they also make these plugs that goes between where your pedel plugs up to that takes that slugish feel out

Ya, the Honda DBWs suck dick as well.

GM's DBW on the other hand is a million times better than any japanese import car except for probably the gtr and lfa.
