Agreed. You quickly figure out there are a FAR greater number of uniformed, unimaginative ignorant people in the world as compared to those who appreciate or even understand the true art of automotive engineering. I too sometimes get frustrated with the younger crowd when they pass over a vehicle with amazing attention to detail with loads of custom fabrication to a similar vehicle relatively stock, bagged/coilover, wheels and stickers. I used to get frustrated but more or less expect it now. If all you care about are 'likes' fall in with the masses and 'CNTL C; CNTL V' similar vehicles with large followings.

If you take issue with a female car enthusiast getting more 'likes' in a male dominated culture, you are going to be quite disappointed on social media.

I need new suspension on my daily so I looked at the local page to see if anyone had anything before going to buy it new online.

So some kid had KYB AGX and H&R springs for a fair price. He made a serious claim as them having 5000 miles. I'm not gonna post his whole sob story about why he needs to sell them, but naturally I wanted some proof of this 5000 mile claim since he says he was the one to buy them new and they're only a couple months old

A couple months old and they are already rusting. I am talking about the bottom side of the struts and the springs, I know he reused his top hats and boots and hardware.

You also mean to tell me you bought something new, didn't keep any receipts (important because you need a receipt to actually use the lifetime warranty on them) and you are somehow in a financial situation that you can't provide any proof that you bought them within the last few months, but I'm supposed to take your word for it that "they're fresh"?

I do think its just to weed out the retards wanting to pay $800. There is a feeling of satisfaction when you see something listed for 4000 and end up paying way less. It pretty much guarantees a sale at a price close to what the seller actually wants and the buyer doesn't feel bad. From a realistic point of view, signing one's life away for a new car is much dumber than whining about not getting enough likes on Facebook. As annoying and dopey as that kid is, he will probably not have to work slave hours to pay the Corvette off, while based on the girl's statement the FRS is presumably out of her comfortable means and she may regret her decision soon enough.
