I was thinking 225/35 595's on my 10.5's, but if the 912's in 235/35's have a smaller overall diameter, I'll probably rock 912's. Really hesitant to rock the 595's thats why. |

I stretched some bct s800's in 205 40 on the same wheels. Cannot see nor touch the barrel at all.
Could it be cheap china tires run wider than "standard"? I'll take some pics tomorrow.

Ignore the gnar pull. Last set of wheels buckled my shit drifting trying to tuck 205 55's on 16x8's..... I'm aware i need paint.....
![]() ![]() ![]() I dont claim that these are the greatest tires in the world but they stretch good and look good and for the $40 a pop a paid for em, i'm not bitching. 205-40-17 on a 9.5J.

who here has personal mounting experience, wondering how hard it would be to mount a 215/35/18 without a low pro setup. like this exact machine

It can be done, no doubt about that. I normally mount my 2254517's on a normal box machine at work.
It all depends, are the tires that your putting on new or used? Tires that are slightly used/ driven on tend to be easly mounted cause they have a little more flex and also the brand of tire that yoiur running. Just be carefull and use plenty of slick/lubricant when mounting and keep the tire in the drop center to make sure it doesnt bind while rotating on the machine

8.5 not worried about airing them up just getting them on the wheel without ripping. 265's kept binding up and felt like they were gonna rip.

Ya, wide tire for that wheel. The tire width is applying extra pressure back towards you cause it cant be forced down any further to sqeeze onto the wheel. I assume your using a bar to help keep the bead in the drop center?

I would not say that is true. I had been turned away from every shop up in WA until I found out about Ray's.
You are in Cali so any run down used tire place will do it most likely. That's where I had to go in AZ, because reputable shops turned me down as well.

Spray axe, starter fluid or whatever all around the inside of the tire. Apply fire from a safe distance and it should pop right on. Then take your stretched meats to a shop for proper balancing. There are ALOT of places in socal. Infact, discount tire should be able to do it. They offered to do mine but since they dont sell commie tires i had my place in the boonies hook me up on the cheap.

all I gotta say is ch-ch-ch-cheatah, makes a world of a difference, and it helps to have those rubber rings that help set the bead, and having a high pressure air hose hooked up to the valve stem as you cheetah to hold the bead plus lots of lube, and if it is a bitch it also helps to have the tires sit out in the sun to soften up in the heat, it is much harder with cold rubber. It took a few trys to get the 215-45-17 nitto neogens on my 9.5

Its not for my 240, its for one of my daily beaters. A 205/50 will keep my speedo exact, look better with my gay 1.5" drop and help cushion the Detroit pot holes. I'm just eager to see what they will look like.
