Video didnt work, but gotcha. So i should really invest in some solid subframe collars? You think strut bars are a no?
The subframe spacers really got rid of my wheel hop that I had. A strut bar I would think would be good to go with but not sway bars. Looks like someone else posted the video but I can't see what they posted either.

Not sure what's going on with your set up but with a 3071 you should be a lot faster. There's novice guys with the factory t25 running your times. As for your 60ft to lower that the factors of more power with traction is what lowers your 60ft. Having some kind of launch control helps out a lot

I agree, you need some sort of launch control and a lsd of some sort. If you are leaving off the line like a slug, you need to get your power up at the line some way to get that 60' down. Also I tell everyone the same thing over and over and over and over and over again. Ditch the suspension and run stock shocks and springs. At least stock in the rear. Coils in the front could help keep the front end down and help with aero but the stock coils will lift more to send the weight to the rear. Make sure those tires are hot and not too hot. Only once smoke hits your tail lights you should stop. Also drop your tire pressure down into the teens. See how that works. Also take extra axles with you.

Seeing as most S chassis people are just into sliding around is there a good aftermarket drag suspension still available? Not interested in a stock suspension.

Dang that makes me feel bad.
Back when I had my t-25 the best I could do was 9.002 at this track
I have a JWT tune so no traction control.
The car is pretty fast on the streets and up in the mountains.
I guess the 1/8th mile doesn't like me.

I do have a shimmed j-30 VLSD with my stock final drive on my car.
Since my 240sx is a weekend mountain whore the stock suspension won't cut it up there thru those corners.
I'm pretty sure I had my PSI around 22-23, how low should I go?
I'm also swapping in a s14 Subframe hopefully that will help me get more traction.

HKS use to make drag coil overs. You may be able to find some floating around by chance. I believe Santos was working on a drag suspension setup using Qa1 shocks, but I'm not sure what came of it.

Otherwise you're better off with some softish lowering springs and the factory struts.

If you are spinning, drop it down to 18 then drop it a little more each time if you are spinning. Every time you heat the tires up, your pressure changes. If you heat them up too much, they are going to get oily unless you have true slicks. You have to get some type of launch control as well. I used to have one from import intelligent but I don't think they make it anymore. This is the video of my launching on the street with out heating them up or letting it build much boost. Look at my other videos too. 240sx launch off 2 step - YouTube

The hks drags are supposed to be the nuts. I agree to go with a softer spring, stock shock. Don't go too low though.

@ TOM or you can contact Fortune Auto and talk to their techs about the setup you have and get a custom set made. Between the discount and the custom upgrades I paid nearly the same amount as an off-the-shelf set of FA coilovers.

I finally got out for a baseline before I rip off the drift oriented nonsense. Only got two runs in tonight and these were the runs I've made on a prepped surface in over 5 years. First run I spun, second was a bit of a bog.
Run1 Run2
60' 2.46 2.396
1/8 9.51 9.33
MPH 79.9 80.42
1/4 14.40 14.19
MPH 101.1 101.0

I know my 60' sucks the big one and that's to blame on my heavy amounts of rust as far as launching goes, shit tires, and shit coils. My question is, would I be off in saying I can get into the 13s fairly easily with a better tire/stock rear suspension?

You have enough to get into the 13's if you just practice your launch. Tires and a better drag orientated suspension will help more as well.

Rule of thumb, for every tenth you shave off in your 60ft you knock off two tenths at the back end.

Thanks did not know that about the 60' but it checks out with my times. I forgot to mention the other differences between runs. I short shifted at 6k and "easy" shifting the first run to feel the car out. 2nd run I shifted a little past 7 but the t25 was just falling on its face.

Unfortunately the next day my tack is open is Valentine's so I won't be able to get back out till March. Maybe that'll give me time to throw in some poly bushings and get rid of some wheel hop.

You could try floating the rpms around 3500-3700 and slip the clutch. Seemed to work back when I played with low power sr's. also depending on what tires you use sometimes doing a burn out in the water box is pointless or even doing to long of a burn out with slick up z-rated tires

Yeah I'm definitely going to have to slip the clutch. I launched at 3500 but came out too aggressive. I didn't do any long burnouts, just a quick spin to clean them off.

Technically, you should be shifting when you reach or just past peak power. Once you "feel" like you're not accelerating anymore, you need to shift to the next gear. No sense dragging out to 7k and risking damage.

Are any of you guys using the Bosch 1600cc injectors with a 14mm top hat? If so, what fuel rail are you using?

The Bosch 1600's got discontinued, they had flow problems at higher fuel temps... I don't think anyone still sells them. It's either the new 1300's or 2000's.

buy the injector dynamics and never look back. Far more tune-able and easier to make idle.

I took the fuel rail to a machine shop to have them open up the holes to 14mm. If I had the money to buy injector dynamics I would. I already had these injectors so I will see how they do for the summer and then buy the injector dynamics 2000cc next winter. Thanks for your guys' input. Hopefully I can make these work for the time being.

FIC 2150cc injectors....great for e-85. Just like hooking up 4 garden hoses to your fuel rail. haha

Yeah I run 8 ID2000's on my LSx, it's ridiculous... but they work so well down to 1ms pulsewidth that the car idles just fine even on pump 91.
