the wiring is a painless 8 circuits extreme conditions fuse block and a 6 switch non fused panel to go with it. I also bought weatherpack connectors for all of the connections, all bought from summittracing.com. The headlights and turn signals work, but I have no wipers, high beams, pop up lights horn or anything I don't need from a track car. They make ones with 12 and 18 circuits for all fo that stuff if you need it.
i do have a stereo though. LOL subs and amp coming later. |

wow man. i have the same feeling. in the first page, it looked like a regular 240sx with some mods. Now you are doing this amazing build!! I can't wait to see it running and for you to drive what you built.
Are you doing the wiring yourself?? |

thanks a lot I appreciate it. Yes, I did all of the wiring myself. I am actually doing a How to on the painless harness right now that I will post soon. Yes it is a stock bottom end. Just s15 pistons. I like it, no issues, plus it is so easy to pick up another long block and swap everything over. Last edited by Volchok; 12-25-2009 at 09:40 AM.. |

and so on with the progressions...
CJ using the belt sander on some intercooler piping, Forrest contemplating the next piece of the puzzle and Ray contemplating whether or not he can stand listening to the Rhianna album for a fourth time... ![]() precise fitment... ![]() the weldings continue... ![]() ![]() Ray about to get some UV burn... ![]() welding the 90 angle onto compressor... ![]() cold side getting there...still needs BOV ![]() waiting on the coupler, should be here tomorrow. ![]() Mounting Tabs for intercooler... ![]() ![]() the 4" core is working great. ![]() ![]() compressor ready ![]() ![]() bout to do the BOV, cutting the flange off of the old 3" intercooler from the first attempt. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() almost done... ![]() ![]() ![]() Thats it for now, more tomorrow... also got a chance to take apart my old motor that I blew at the LVMS bullring drift demo. Valve cover off, caked on motor syrup...this thing has seen better days... ![]() cylinder 2 had 0 compression, lets see why... ![]() ![]() ![]() so I will finish tearing it down and bore it out 1mm, and rebuild it, gotta have a spare motor. Pics of that as it goes. 3"-2" reducer, beaded edge ![]() ![]() ![]() brackets for intercooler ![]() ![]() ![]() an 90 degree AN to the IACV from here: ![]() finally got around to replacing the steering column bushing: old and new ![]() kind if an annoying task... ![]() ![]() and finally... ![]() ![]() the first look at the Wangle steering mod... ![]() |

so the V mount is done. Now we can mock up the tubs making sure that all of the piping has clearance. Pulled the motor and everything back out.
Properly looped water line: ![]() ![]() Gaping holeage... ![]() ![]() I finally fixed the massacre to the fender that the previous owner inflicted when trying to do the r32 front end conversion. ![]() ![]() Forrest started the tubs: ![]() ![]() ![]() doing the grindings... ![]() ![]() it helps when you rub it slowly and say nice things... ![]() its 3 a.m. do u know where your right tub is? ![]() next day back to the weldings... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() stitch welding the chassis... ![]() my first time making gussets. I have to confess to those that are wondering that dimple dies are even more addicting than weather pack connectors... ![]() and then I made these to cover the travesty that was left after removing the battery tray, and cover the old FMIC holes with nice new thats right dimple died covers... ![]() ![]() my other gussett... ![]() all of the unnecessary holes in firewall and fender covered... ![]() thats it for now, painting again today and then everything reassembled starting tomorrow after work. |

^^^ yeah that goes to heater core, one of the spots you can block off but the head and block have to be looped. This is the best way, AN fittings and a short loop, it will also be cushion clamped to the motor. You don't wan t to be in the middle of an event and tear a heat hose line, and the stock piece for this has about 5 sections any one of which could leak.
