Haven't heard back from my friends on phx pd. but I spoke with a retired patrol officer that I work with. She confirmed that every phx pd officer goes through 40 hours of driver training in the academy and has a yearly required refresher and qualifier including pits. (which are so dangerous on public roads that an officer must have authorization to preform). She also told me that trained officers under controlled conditions are only about 60-70% successful. The kid is lying.

Back in 2003, I had chased someone who hit my S13, they where in a van, older white guy. He stopped got out and said he was sorry blah blah, than jumped back in his car and took off. i chased him, wrote the plate down and we wound up back on my street, then he stopped in front of my house, said he wont take off again, but he does.. I had to run into my house and grab the phone since I didnt have my cell on me. Well I give up on chasing him again and call the cops and report a hit and run.. Helicopter swoops up over me real fast, and i just point at the direction the van went.
This was on my street too, so dude was probably scared as fck, which I hope he was. lol

But when your chasing someone, adrenaline fills up.

Sadly my insurance company said the plate numbers I gave them where not valid, and i had liability so it was a lose for the damage. I was upset the fucker got away with it. I must have got the plate wrong or something, hard driving at a high speed while digging in your glove box for a pen and paper.

I hate thieves, I hope this fucker gets raped in jail. Some people are scum and get away with it by doing little time/slap on the wrist.. There are always repeat offenders.. Sadly that is all they know, probably normal thing for them, stealing and ducking cops and just not to get caught

wait now I'm lying lol,dude believe whatever you want d60-70% successful?i race shifter karts road race real cars doiing the police interception techniqe doesnt have that low a success rate the bmw is rear wheel drive so nudging the back end will cause the car to fish tail but the driver still has a chance at gaining controll depending on his her skills its not difficult all all go try it at a indoor kart track and see for yourself.and nudging the back wont make the chase car spin out it will do nothing in comparason.go call your phoenix PD friends your only wasting your time,I told the police he was driving up sidewalks and everything going on told them as soon as we got to the overpass there was no vehicles or pedestrians i nudgged the back of the bmw causing it to stop the pursuit so no matter what you do this case is over its a done deal if i was in any trouble it would have been right when it happened remember forensics show what happened.

He says that he might not have arrested you for kicking the guys ass but in the unlikely event that you were able to pull off a pit, he would have arrested you for wreckless driving.
