All I know is what the time slips say. We consistently trapped around 117 with the crappy s13 rear gear at the top of 4th. Just double checked, and the tire was a 255/50/16, so it was a little shorter.

And are you wanting to improve your times, or just get better trap speed? Because we dropped half a second off our times by cutting the 60 ft down .2.

Looking for better 60fts with less strain on the drivetrain.
A 24.5 will put me at 6700rpm in 4th at 125mph
With a 26 I would be at 6300rpm.

255/50/16 would put you at about 6200 rpm at 118mph.

3.9...give the 24.5 a try but if you decide to up your rear end ratio you will also have to extend your redline or buy new tires again... i assume your not running a s15 6 speed

I have no interest in upping the rear ratio. Will kill gas mileage.
S15 trans went bye bye long ago. It has a regular SR 5 speed.

To those of you running Weld rims, what length shank lug nuts are you running? Are you guys running stock wheel studs?

1 3/8in shank. You should use a stud that's a little longer than stock.
Convert to a m12x1.5 stud. Easier to get the lugs for welds in that size/pitch then the 12x1.25 Nissan uses.

I was hoping I could use the stock studs because I daily drive the car and I have a different set of wheels for the street. I did find the shank lugs in 12x1.25, so that's not a problem.

You can keep the stock studs. Just not the best way. These type lugs thread onto the studs while going threw the wheel lug holes. The wheels are actually centered by the lugs.
If you run skinnies up front you will need a small spacer as the rim touches the brake caliper.

s13drifta it sounds like you are getting ready to race me My car should be done in the next couple of months. Never mind the mess, I am still mocking things up and have to go through the wiring. Plus I got a s13.4 valve cover that is getting powder coated.

Alright, so will I have enough bite on the stock studs? The last thing I want are my studs snapping off. I might just get some bolt on spacers in the front if I decide to run skinnies.

I've been ready, I'm just waiting on you. I know you are going to make a shit ton of power, but its all fun and game. I'm just rocking a gt2871r and stock cams lol. Still good enough for high 11s. I'm going to the track May 16th for $5 Friday. Import Shootout is June 6th.

A little HP update on my car since Ive last posted. I switched from RS enthalpy tune to Nismotronic.com which I highly recommend for anyone out there looking for standalone features from their S13 SR ecu for a fraction of the cost

Car last year made 471whp with gt30r
This year made 607whp on dynapack with gtx3576r.

All in all pretty good HP gain to help get me to my 9.9 goal. Car weighs 2650 with me in it. full interior (mostly)

Nice numbers Whitesil.

I took my s14 to the drag strip last week for $5 Friday. Just broke into the 11s with gt2871r at 18psi and stock cams. The track is also at 4,000 ft. above sea level. Here are some pics I took the day after.

Went to the track this past friday:

1st Run (42psi in tires)

Unreal's S14 - 6/20/14 @ Atco 14.6@101mph (1st Run) - YouTube

2nd Run (32psi in tires)

Unreal's S14 - 6/20/14 @ Atco 14.2@102mph (2nd Run) - YouTube

Need to work on launching, but overall my trap speed is good for mid to high 13s

Time Slip (Im #66):

With the traps im getting i should be putting out somewhere around 225-230whp@7psi, which matches what ive been getting on my virtual dyno sheets Going to hit the track again in a few weeks and try again, and maybe do some 10 psi runs.

Setup is S14 KA (Stock block with ~130k)/S13 Cams/N62 MAF/GT2860RS 0.86 @7 psi/ISIS V1 Mani+DP+O2/HKS Sport Exhaust/3" Catco Cat

Self Tuned with Nistune. Running ~18-19* WOT. NGK VPower @ 0.30. Tires are Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 245/40/17.

Congrats S13 drifta. Now you need to upgrade the cams and give it a little more boost. What size rear tire did you go with?

Thanks man. Cams are next on the list. I went with a 26x10.50-15 ET street. I'm still spinning first gear, so I might try a 28x10.50

Once you get wheel hop, those axles are toast.

If you're making big power, you're only delaying the inevitable. You'll have to upgrade the axles, diff or both. It's just a matter of time.

If you need a 28in tall slick then you must be making big power.
