That was the 1st anime I ever saw back in 92 I think. It was the movie not the TV series, The TV series drags on and on and on, prob because of when it was made.

i have the OVA 1994 the adaption of the stardust crusaders( which is the 3rd story). in 2007 they showed in movie theaters of Phantom Blood ( 1st story) which we'll never see on DVD. now that they're doing it in episodes i say THat's AWESOME!!!! FINALLY!!!!!

also look into BAOH (same writer Hirohiko Araki)....... just animated in early 90's

Saw the old school Jojo's on VHS back in the day. Would love to see it remastered. Saw the newer version that came out a few years ago, but I never heard of a 2013 version. Gonna have to go look for it now...

Yeah the ones on eBay u see are $40-$90 per 3 episodes first print. I was like WTF!!!!!. If you look down further you see the one from Malaysia and only for around 20 dollars for all 26 (first 2 stories), You can also see sneak peaks on YouTube. 8 stories total will finish in next 2 years.

Watched a few episodes of attack on titan... it was a little bit more dramatic than i expected but so far so good

Just watched Evangelion and all its movies after not seeing any of it since like the 5th grade.
Feel like i just finished a good book and now im just waiting on 4.44

Ghost in the shell was awesome too.

Been on a huge kick lately. Its just intimidating if you dont know where to start because theres SO many choices.

Agreed. Took a bit to process it. Now I'm pissed the series didn't follow this arc. Im also pissed because we'll never get a full account of what went down during thoae 13 years.

I'm still further pissed that nobody could take 5 minutes to explain to Shinji that v he was in na coma for 13 years and just woke up.

In what reality. Do people act that way? That always pissed me off about the whole Eva series, the characters are so ridged and extreme that they come of as mind blowingly fake.

Thats the shit that kills me about the fucking Eva series. The fate of humanity hinges on these preteens and no one thought that it might be a good idea to give these kids a goddamn psychiatric evaluation or some ongoing therapy?!?

Shinji wouldn't have destroyed the world if someone took maybe 30 minutes out of their fucking day to help him deal with his damn daddy issues. And this brat is supposed to become God?

From what I remember, Nerv's purpose was to protect Lilith from the Angels because otherwise that was cause the 3rd Impact and destroy the world. But Shinji beat the Angels to the punch by transcending humanity to save Rei and thereby triggering the 3rd Impact which wiped out most life on Earth (I guess).

So fast forward 13 years, now Misato, Asuka & that other pilot have abandoned/targeted Nerv. Y? I don't fucking know. Eva unit 01 is being used as an engine... Lilith is dead somehow. I don't know what the fuq the Angels are doing... Why is everything red? What was that kid going on about "These aren't our spears" referring to the spears of Longinus and Cassius? What the fuq is going on?

I'm pretty sure the third movie was supposed to be as vague as possible. That way we can all get a satisfying ending in 4.44 that we didn't get with the series (excluding EoE)

Who knows, it's at their discresion. I like how open it is because it leaves you to wonder for the next movie.

If shinji wasnt a little bitch then he would fall under the generic plot protagonist you see in like every mecha anime where one dude is the cool collected bad ass. Ie. most of the gundam series. I'm sure it's intentional to leave it so radically different from 1 and 2 for the last movie to give closure since these movies are way more in depth on main character development than the series was.

Also it was intended to be release simultaneously with the 4th movie. this could be why we have such a cliffhanger and so many unanswered questions. Then again, it's all speculation until the last movie is released.

Hoping that's just a recap as the 2nd season is about to begin.

Just noticed that they're doing another Genshiken... crossing my fingers.
Nothing else so far from this season looks interesting otherwise.
