Yeah! Didn't you see it at the Tech Day?

CNC Brakes "staging brake" = 3/4" MC w/o reservoir, then fittings and -3AN teflon/SS brake lines. Tricky part was making a mounting plate thick enough to weld to the trans tunnel so that it doesn't flex when you rip it.

I will be doing the exact same set up on the Z. But I am either going with a samurai sword or William Wallaces sword from Braveheart...leaning towards the 2nd one lol

Hey guys, I got a bone to pick.

A buddy of mine just got into 240s and drifting... he sold his old 3 series to get his current 240 and some other goodies. soo.. he asked me if theres any good meets to go to on Fridays cuz thats the only day he has off, so of course like everyone else, I recommended him the 626 meet. Anyways, he calls me up to tell me that he went to the meet, but he got flamed and made fun of in front of his gf... and get this... he got flamed because he didn't know much about the KA and SR! WTF? since when did you guys start flaming n00bs about not knowing much about 240s? I mean, I understand flaming people for doing stupid shit like burnouts or revving, but coming to a meet to learn about 240s and getting flamed on isn't cool. I haven't been to this meet in a pretty long time... so I'm sure theres a lot of new faces, but I still hope this meets regulated by all the OG's and open to new people, otherwise I don't see why meet is posted on a public forum if new people are gonna be treated like outcasts.

I'm sorry Adrian, but I have no clue what you are talking about. I love talking to new people at meets, and I would never flame anyone in front of them. I'm sure non of the OG's would do that either. That is just stupid. The meets are getting bigger and bigger, and I have a feeling it might have been one of the newer faces. There are some people that like to cause some trouble at these meets. Last week or the week before when it was raining, some dudes decided it would be cool to start drifting in the parking lot...

You should tell your buddy to come out again...he just ran into the wrong people.

Only the insecure would flame someone for not knowing, unless they're a total douche ("my 3.2L KA is non-turbo but still boosts" or something like that). There were a lot of "new" guys out on Friday... tell your bud to come back and look for me/Mike/Jxn/Castro/etc.

What car was ur buddy driving??? it was probably jeff that flamed him but seriously, what adrian explained is one of the exact reasons why jack (azndoc), among others dont really come out anymore.

oh and karl, it seems like gary and jeff did identical hydro ebrake setup, piecing the lines and CNC staging brake etc. the hardest part, like jeff said was making a bracket plate thingamabobber that supported itself to make the tranny tunnel not flex...cuz bolting it down to the tunnel is so fail, it's thinner than sheetmetal. Eventually we ended up welding the plate to the tunnel a certain way to strengthen it.

this meet is reminiscent of the OG spot in arcadia...and i'm starting to like it all over again...except the new douches :ghey:

Wow thats not cool. Im still new to this meet and dont really know much faces but thats not right. Who ever flamed this guy is wack and shouldnt be welcome to the 626meet. I could imagine how this guy felt being not only being new to the 240 scene but to the meet itself.... Adrian tell your homeboy to come out again this friday tell him to hit me up.....
