i understand the differences between polyurethane and hard rubber bushings and why hard rubber would be ideal for a street car unless zerk fittings are installed, but does this only apply to moving parts?
im looking to replace my power steering rack bushings and wouldn't mind spending the extra money on nismo bushings if they are better, seeing as i won't need to grease them quarterly. However, the power steering rack doesn't move enough to maybe warrant a greasing, right? Will polyurethane be sufficient for a power steering rack bushing, rather than the pricier hard rubber, in terms of maintenance?

Well I seemed to have diagnosed the problem. Went out and jump started the 240 and it fired up. I left it hooked up to the truck I was using to jump and tested all the accessories and brake lights and the car did not change idle and there was no dimming of gauge lights. Moment I unhooked the cables from the truck, I let it idle for a bit then I hit the brake pedal and the idle dropped and gauge cluster lights dimmed. Same with the headlights the car pretty much was about to die with the headlights on and stepping on the brake pedal at the same time. Guess its time to swap out that alternator. |

I was hoping someone could site me to a website where I can buy the weather striping for a s13 coupe, more exactly the front windsheild stripping. It'd really help, appreciate it. Thanks!

RB20 Mounts are exactly the same as RB25DE mounts so they will fit but you'll also need to use the brackets that go from the block to the mount from a 20 or 25na as well. |

Ok then, What is a KNOWN safe Redline to set for the RB20 @ roughly 375whp? I will tune it to just cut 100% of fuel @ whatever RPM.
which RPM should I set? Also, ( I have no powersteering ) but Why is it my car is like 3x harder to turn left than right? turning right is like nothing, but turning left is hard as hell.. |

ya sure the nut behind the wheel isn't too loose?
Steering rack, ball joints, control arm bushings, wheel bearings, steering gearbox Somewhere in your system is a bit of unsorted business that requires attention, as long as it's not the nut behind the wheel being loose

For all the commiefornia guys. I have a problem with smog.
My Nox level is a bit high. I passed the 15MPH barely with 488 out of 493 max. But failed 25MPH with 585 out of 516 max. HC: 15mph Max: 88 - Meas: 69 25mph Max: 53 - Meas: 59 CO: 15mph Max: .36 - Meas: .18 25mph Max: .35 - Meas: .29 NO: 15mph Max: 493 - Meas: 488 25mph Max: 516 - Meas: 585 shop says I should slow down the timing and that might be fix. any other possible solutions? preferably cheap ones? EGR, catalytic, etc.

Need some opinions, Ok so my intercooler piping just wont fit with the setup I currently have. But the intercool piping is wrouted the best possible way right now.
What are you people's opinions on cutting out part of the hood and seeing an intercool piping stick out? Go or no Go? ( for a potential daily ) |

It is sticking up too high. I can't wroute it any other way without making like 5 feet more of piping and can't close the hood with the way it is. but it is the best wroute for my IC pipping..

Cutting your hood to have piping stick out is not the right way.
