Alright so i tried to start a new thread talking about fitting the max tire out back in my s13 and it got closed. I browsed this thread and it clearly says its for pics and specs. Basicaly im ordering rims, 17x9.5 for the back. I want to know what the optimum offset would be to fit max tire under stock metal. My 16x8 with 225s on it wont cut it any more as the car has a built 2jzgte. And cant keep traction at 15psi and with the fuel upgrade i just did wont hold the 28-30psi i want to push. So all flaming aside i just need help fitting a 265 or 275 out back on stock metal. Pulled if neccesary. Im thinkin +24 or 25 offset -1 camber. Is it possible or do i habe to get overfenders. Like i said i tried to start a new thread askimg this and it got closed and i was told to put it here. Sorry.

i used to run a 17x9.5 +38 in the back, no spacers etc. i had 255s on and got away with a fender roll. if you you want to run wider tires a slight pull would be neccessary. but if i were you i'd get +30 or even lower, my wheel only had about 3/4" of space to the LCA. a bit close for my taste.

In your case sirfallsalot run 255/35 all around since your car isn't that low at. That will give you a nice and short sidewall. Or even run a 235/40 all around and you shouldn't have to roll at all. But don't be posting up no 235's in this thread. Just kidding, pm me if you want more advise.

What wheels are these if someone knows? I looked on SSR's site and came away with the impression that they aren't made any longer. Any help would be appreciated.

What this thread is:
-Maximum TIRE(Rubber) fitment What this thread isn't: -Will this fit? -These wheels are cool. What are they? -I'm running 225s so I'm posting a picture because I cannot read and am a whore. (Note that this only applies if you're whoring out the axle with the 225s on it; if you're posting pics of the axle with 415/5/20s, it's allowed.) -I'm from the Netherlands. We don't have tires here. I am going to quote 485 pictures and ask a three-word question unrelated to anything. -Pictures of random wheels with tires. -Pictures of cars without any specs. -Quoting ANY AND ALL FREAKING PICTURES I'm fairly sure the internet's lack of accountability has socialized idiocy into our wonderful community. There are about a thousand posts which should be deleted from this thread. It was meant to be a resource for those interested in putting wide tires on their car, and what kind of problems they would run into. You, the morons breaking the rules, have taken away from its usefulness and have turned it into a cesspool of stupidity. |

And? SSR makes the 'Professor' wheel line which look just like those but are multi-piece wheels, thought I'm pretty sure they used to make a cast single piece.

Hey, I did, and I acknowledged the brand name in my original response, perhaps you could use your "human vision" to realize that next time.
Thanks for help with that, I had searched for about twenty minutes and couldn't come up with anything. To all the rest of yas, catch pneumonia and die. |

Hey guys. I did a lot of research on line and have gotten mixed results and looked through all the posts on this thread, alot of S14, not much s13. I would like to fit as much of a tire under an s13 with out major fender modification if the car is on stance coilovers. I don't like tucking in the tires so the car is not super slammed. I would like to just roll the fender lip and THATS IT. I dont like the pull look at all. AND I want the wheel and tire be FLUSH with the body
From my research I got that I could put 17X9+35 with 255/40/17 tire in the rear with out pulling the fender will fit flush with out any rubbing. For the front 17X8+27 with 235-245/40/17. Is my research correct? I love what you guys do with the max tires, and would like to do the same but keep the fenders stock. Thank you guys Ilya |

Stock fenders and max tire look kinda is an oxy-moron. But your research sounds correct. Pull a bit and you can fit 275's in the rear with the size and offset.

I didnt mean max tire, I meant max tire for stock fenders with a roll. I wanna stay away from getting a pull because every pull I have seen I dont like. But thanks for the suggestion

Sound like a bunch of non pulling weenies here. Lol. High offset equals more tire room but less space for coilovers. Lower offset equals wider stance(stabilty) more room for coilovers and obviously much better looks. But you gotta man up on your fenders. Choose your outcome.

Finally some updated pics of my car. This is not my final height, this is my push it around my garage and driveway and get my jack under it easily height. Few more weeks till she's running!
Still missing due to lack of time for install are my kouki sideskirts and LED tail lights. And obviously my exhaust, trying to keep a simple hot-rod look going on here. Maybe next year Ill go widebody and aero and then step up the tire sizes even more. And for those who dont know my specs are 18 x 9.5 -1(+14 w/o spacer) 245/40/18 18 x 10.5 +0 275/35/18 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
