Just want your guys opinion on what I will need to do to my fenders to fit this setup.
F:17x9 +10 effective, looking to run 3-4* camber in the front, 215/40/17 Federal 595. R:17x10 +12 effective, looking to run 1* camber in the rear, 235/40/17 Federal 595. I want to stay stock body and maintain the camber that I stated. What do you think I will have to do to my fenders besides the obvious roll, and any suggestions towards this setup? Car will be drifting. |

Roll all around and slight pull in the rear. My only question is, why do you wanna run such undersized tires? 215/40-17s will look like rubber bands on 17s.

It was a recommendation I was givin, that's why I asked for opinions. The car will be slammed and running some serious angle in the front so I don't want to run into problems. What would you recommend?

What chassis? Also, educate yourself some...look up tire calculator and shoot for a tire setup that is close to 205/55-16 (OEM Sizing). Punch in the the sizes that were recommended to you and you'll see how much smaller they are. Usually, you dont wanna go more than 3% in size difference.

im getting the rocket bunny 30mm overfenders front and rear for my s14, i have -1.5 camber all around, current wheel specs are
front 18x9.5 +12 245/40/18 rear 18x10.5 +15 265/35/18 my question is... i want to get 18in work meisters and i was wondering what sizes/offset/tires i should be looking at? i want to keep the camber the same and the wheels at least 9front and 10rear. also, i dont want to stretch a 215 tire on a 12 inch wheel.... i can run a little stretch but i want the car to be functional and have traction too lol thanks

The recommendations weren't that bad but I'd bump the front to 215/45-17 and 235/40-17 rears. If you want it to be close to OEM diameter, 225/45-17 and 245/40-17s. But the wider rears will mean you'd have to pull the fenders more and doing so, you might get the dreaded S13 fender bump.

So for the front max you can run would be the 18x10 -12 (but I'd probably lower the offset some, -6 maybe 0 offset since you want to run some big ass tires). Rears, 18x11 -9, you can probably go lower if you want to bow the fenders out when you mount them. Also, 245/40-18s are waaaaaaaay oversized for S-chassis. If you run the same size tires on those 10 -12s, you will have some wheel well clearance issues. 245/35-18 is closer to the stock diameter, or better yet 225/40-18s. Lots of us running 10js up front run 225/40-18s. |

right now my car is not properly stanced lol. the wheels poke out a little since i have stock fenders with no roll/pull and the car had to be jacked up to 4x4 status so the tires wouldnt rub on bumps and hard turns.

The Kouki S14 with TEs? My advice to you is, since you're gonna go over fenders anyways, drop the car as low as you want and roll/pull the fenders with a baseball bat.

Me again.
17x9 +15 S14 AGX KYB and Springs I was thinking of running 215/40/17 but thats too much stretch for not being low enough to need it. I was thinking either go to maybe a 225/40/17, 235/40/17 or maybe even 225/45/17 and loose alot of the gap to it. I know if I go bigger I will need to roll my fenders. What would be a nice size and not much stretch at all and will loose some of the gap? |

a 40 sidewall is too skinny for a car with wheel gap. I don't think you'll need to roll your fenders because you're not low. |

I'm aware that this is a 13 but here is your fate with 235/40 up front & 225/40 in the rear: Since you vow your car's existence on springs/struts, go with the highest available offset and fine tune with spacers. Say no to pork when you're that high off the ground. |

I've already have the wheels. Came in today. I was just wanting to get rid of some of the gap, and not have stretch. My speedo doesn't work either so it doesn't matter much to me about the speed error.

What kinda spring? I was running eibach sportlines, back in the days before coilovers were readily available stateside, and I chopped 2 coils off the springs to get it to sit where I want it. It wasnt slammed but it was just right for a strut/spring setup. As long as you're running brand new shocks and not the old stock ones, they'll ride pretty good. If you toss lowering springs on the stock shocks, enjoy bouncing all over the place and you'd blow the shocks in a couple of days.
Kinda hard to see since the picture is so small but this was my setup then... |

They were on the struts when I bought them, but they are Maxspeed springs. 1.4(?) inch drop to them. I would change them to Megan's, but I am just saving for coils right now.

Sweet thread. If anyone can provide some input on my situation it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm running a 96 s14 sitting on d2 rs coilovers. With stock wheels there is a decent amount of camber but a large gap from tire to fender. I recently purchased a set of 17x9s +40. The tire specs are 215/45. I haven't put the wheels on yet because I know the front wheels won't clear the coilovers and the stock lugs don't fit. (Just bought a set yesterday) So I was wondering if anyone could suggest a spacer size and possibly include a picture or two? Any reply would be appreciated. |

As long as the shocks are new and in good condition, it wont be bouncing all over the place. Most idiots who cut springs will cut their stock springs and use the same stock struts that are not designed to handle it.

215/45 s. drives on 9.5 vs 235/40 or 225/45 dz101 for mild stretch?
the 215/45 s. drives should fit kinda like 225/40's if i'm thinking right where the dz's are a little narrower hence the wider spec for comparison these are 17's sound right? this what i don't want a. skinny rubber band tires b. no stretch at all (i've seen some 235/40's that don't look stretched at all on 9.5's but dz101 stretch pretty nice sooooo what i do want a. a decent meaty side wall but pretty much like 225/40 if it existed in 17 b. a mild stretch like prob the milder side of mild lol to zilvia's standards |

Ok one more time. I havent gotten the tires yet, but I will be getting them hopefully this week for my new wheels.
S14 17x9 +15 all around. KYB AGX + 1.3-1.5 drop or something like that. I was thinking of running 215/40/17, but I think it would be too much stretch with me not being that low. So my question is, would I be able to run a 225/45/17, or if not, a 215/45/17, or if I needed to, (or if it would just look better with 40s) I would run a 245/40/17 or a 235/40/17? And would I need to pull them? I am wanting a pretty good meaty look to the tires, but not too meaty to look retarded. |

^ i think either 215/45 or 225/45 depending on the tire brand.i think 225 in most brands will be pretty square. you have to remember not all tires fit the same
235 or larger will be pretty huge on 9's i think going with a larger sidewall will be better if your no to low too |

Has anyone ever tried fitting 18" Ssr Sp1's MD disc with z32 brakes up front? I wanna see if they clear before getting new sets.

After reading that, my stab is that it should clear. If it doesnt, itll be real close. Nothing that 3mm spacers cant fix. |
