did the door panels, shift boot and headliner my self. the panel inserts do not come out on an s14, however its pretty easy to get the old fabric off. pm me if people are interested in pricing, not trying to turn this into a for sale thread.
future plans to suede wrap the dash or flock it, im not sure which way im gonna go yet. S13bert, thanks man. i can do these shift boots in tons of different designer fabrics or basically any other fabric. if your interested pm me. Mike North Shore Performance Auto and Fabrication |

For the S14, I don't know. On most door cards that have an insert, they have plastic posts that come off the back of the insert. Then once the insert is set on the door card, the tip of the plastic post is melted down to keep the insert sandwiched to the card. So you can simply grind off the melted nub and the insert will come off. You can then wrap it and simply re-melt the post back to the door card. Civics for example do it this way.... if you look at the bottom part of the picture, you can see where the splotches of melted plastic are. |

Broadfield, you are correct, you should use contact out of a spray gun. deff works the best. good call on grinding down the tabs on the back and then just remelting them. your work is top notch and congrats on the Modified coverage.
irresistable, yes you certainly have to remove the old fabric. Mike North Shore Performance Auto and Fabrication |

You cant take the centres out of s13 or s14.
Like I said heat the reverse side to soften th adhesive on the fabric then pull it off. Once stuck down correctly you can trim the excess off quite neatly with a sharp scalple. This is what my old s13 look like: |

Yah just pull the old fabric off it comes off really easy, might be some glue residue left just sand that down lightly. I used the 3M spray adhesive, and it is already starting to peel. Wouldn't use it again.
