Drifting along the gulf coast
Scott that's great news we'd love to have you come. I'm talking with the track owner next week as were both out of town for the holidays. The facility is mobile international speedway see the facility online at mobilespeedway.net there would be full concessions and millet lite beer garden. We would have the drift track on the speedway an through the pit area. The next big thing for me is to find a few sponsors to help pay for track rental and insurance we will know in just over a week if we will be able to do it. Target day is April 2nd. An if it goes as good as I expect it will I would consider doing it once a month . The more people that show interest in this event the better as I can take these emails to the track owner to show their is a genuine interest for thus type of racing and nobody is doing it now along the gulf coast. This could be major!!!

I don't really see a monthly drift event ever happing in mobile. There's no way there would be enough local support. Like A couple a year could maybe be pulled off but we would need pcola/ms to show too.

I live in Hoover now. Just moved from Japan last year, but sadly I permanently work in Iraq at the moment (18 Months and counting). I am working on getting my own business started so I can stay Stateside and will remain in the Birmingham area.
Check these guys out. Young forum but alot of enthusiastic guys with desire, they have regular meet and greets and are trying to get some stuff started if you guys aren't already on there. I threw up a link to Zilvia in my intro there, so I figure, no one will mind here. Import Alabama - Categories - Import Alabama |

Improving the streets of Birmingham one car @ a time. I am porsonally a MA70 guy (1991 7MGTE) but just plucked a black 98 S14 virgin with low low miles from ATL for my 16 year old son. Nothing too crazy planned. Full Megan Racing Suspension with street coilovers, and other basic bolt'ons. I will be at Birmingham Race Course for the Drift with both cars to spectate.
