i would love to have one. i've decided that i'd miss the power WAY too much. and i came from a honda, and loved vtec powerbands. i had a bolt on B16 in my civic, and i loved it. loved that it was slow, and i could stay up high in the revs when messing around on curvey roads. BUT, like i said, as much as i like that. that was before my 240 put down 453 hp on a dyno. the guy that bought my civic had it dyno tuned. it made something like 153whp, and 104 ft lbs. LOL.

but my friend matt has an S. its awesome. despite being a turd around town. it looks dope. and i envy how he gets to drop the top all the time. i drove a '94 mustang GT vert in HS, and i actually like verts. performance aside ofcourse.

he's on 18" professors.

a couple local AP1's.

the red one is on LM's..

owner of red car now has a white E36 M3. the blue one also has a 10 second T/A. lol.

I do respect s2k's at the track, but in the end they can suck my balls. I would much rather drive a miata. S2k's are my new targets when I go to track events. They are fast as hell, but I just don't like them.

Chicks dig it, I know that much. I saw a red one at the dealership a few weeks back, the color was astonishing.

I'm either gonna repaint my 240 that red, or the red that's on the fit.

My friend owned a 2001 one in Sazuka Blue. Its an excellent out of the box handling car.

I personally wouldn't get rid of my 240 for it, I'd try and save up to have both. Right now I'm rockin my 4age Corolla as a daily and love the contrast from turbo. The S2K would be a welcome upgrade.

S2K? Torque steer?

How many built S2K's have you been in? Were you in them while they were being driven backwards?

i know they have 240 horsepower or whatever, but to me it felt SO much slower than my s13 (basically stock SR) i know they only make power high, but even when i revved it to 9,000 RPM's it felt like a million years to get there.

i never said they werent bad looking though, i like them. i'm also a big honda fan. i used to drive a civic.

i know you werent. i was making an attempt to justify why they feel slow. ive never driven one, but im familiar with the Vtec honda powerband. i too, used to have a civic. just a B16 swap, I/H/E, clutch/flywheel, coilovers and shifter. but it was alot of fun. great DD, and i miss it. but once my E30 is dumped with sticky tires though, i think ill be content for a while.

i think if they would just get some kind of FI, that would cure almost all that ails the S2K

They need some Torque, hella bad. And the Ls-1 can be put into anything if your commited. but I kinda of dont think anybody that posted above is "committed". so forget that. I want to spend 15K on a car and then Spend another 7 on a engine and parts for install. Yeah ok. If you want a ls-1 car buy a Rx-7 and get rid of the grenade under the hood.

anyway. I like the plainess of the s2k but they got a little too much of the Vtec thing going round. Cause 9000 rpm sounds nice, but it doesn't seem to get much done.

sr20 ftw

I'm thinking of getting a new car around january or so. I'm looking at either a WRX, S2000, or TA WS6. Checked insurance with USAA, they wanst 900 every six months for the s2k and trans am. Geico wants 600/six months for the TA and 900/six months for the s2k. I didn't check on the WRX, but I imagine its gotta be cheaper than those two.

I think I'm just going to buy an S14 and work on it while I keep driving my S13.
