I have no issues with mine clearing. Are your motor mounts old and saggy?

I am using a stock manifold with some nismo mounts and it did not need to be clocked right out of the box.

So I was told that the diaphragm that comes on these turbos is there weak spot. Apparently the crush under pressure ?? This is hear say honestly but I was told by someone it cause him to blow his motor. Is there a reasonably price alternative waste-gate to replace the one it comes with?

So guys any more experiences with this turbo??? Seems to be alot of people ordering it...

Here is my complete install experience so far.. all godspeed products too.

Purchase List:
Godspeed Turbo Mani
Godspeed Turbo Elbow
Godspeed Downpipe
Godspeed 18g
DIF S13 Sr20det Lines

Heres the break down of the install hardware wise:

Bolt kit/install kit with turbo - copper washers were useable but the oil banjo bolt was not compatible with the DIF oil line kit. It was too short.
Gaskets from Turbo kit - Good
Gaskets from Downpipe and Elbow - Funny thing here is the 3 bolt gaskets did not match nor did they bolt up together. So I reamed all the holes out in the DP and have managed to get 2/3 bolts to work. Ill take a picture of the third for reference later.

Turbo Install:
Pretty straight forward. All the lines bolted up with absolutely no problems what so ever. The turbo probably could have been reclocked(exhaust side) just a bit, but I actually didnt see this till I got under the car and halfway bolted up the DP. Im just gonna have my shop cut/reweld the DP so its clocked properly for the exhaust. As of now my catback and testpipe will not bolt back up.

The turbo was actually a hair large and I had to shave my factory mount about 1/2" in a C Cut to get the turbo to allow me to seat the manifold all the way down

Other than those few issues which honestly werent that bad its gone pretty well. My only gripe is with the DP and the Elbow situation. But I dont really have the time or patience to re-order/replace them Ill just have my tuner cut and weld before we tune my power FC.

BTW I am running the factory restrictor for bush bearing turbos (.63).

Weird. Mine bolted up with no problem. Stock manifold > tubular in most cases.

Well first off. You didn't say what you are tuning with. Second off, a regular t25/28 could make close to 235 @ 12 psi.

What injectors, what tuning? Stock maf?

Sounds like you are doing this ass backwards. Who gets a large turbo and keeps stock maf?

safc 2 is the tuning tool, 550cc injectors and here read this
http://zilvia.net/f/cars-sale/374160-1990-240sx-hatch-sr20det-350rwhp.html

any way thats way too low for 550 and big turbo even with stock maf it should of max out the maf first.

So you guys adjusted the wastegate to be shorter or longer? Also what sort of dyno? 250whp-300whp would sound about right with an safc tune at a solid 13-15psi. Im pretty sure this turbo isnt even at its efficiency zone untill 17-20psi.

SAFC is not a tuning solution - they do more harm than good... but this - nor the maf is the issue... Neither one would make boost fall off. And you have stock cams/intake manifold?

Its either the actuator is opening too far - or isnt working correctly - or you have a boost leak.

I'm gonna lean towards boost leak.

Stock cams/intake. I'm not sure how they turned it I wasn't there.

They thought it was my actuator but when I get my car back I'll check for boost leak. I should not have one but it could always happen.

I can't afford power fc just yet, thanks for the info I may take a new actuator to them to check it out.

I have a feeling its how they adjusted the wastegate. My friends out here have no trouble holding 18-20+psi with this turbo.

Lol. Great warranty for a china product. Like anyone who buys your product would pay more for labor than what the turbo is worth.
