How much did it cost to do the heat shield?

I bought 2 - 2 feet x 2 feet sheets @ around $60 a sheet. I was able to do the entire firewall, the usdm driver side frame rail, and the transmission hump. I still have a nice 10x10 square section left over. You have to get very crafty in a few sections (the bumps and indentations are a hassle). Total time, without any experience doing this sort of stuff, 4 hours.

Thats good info! I was curious on how much I would need?

So two 2x2 sections will be plenty?

Yeah, you will have some left over. I did small 2x6 strips throughout the areas that were complicated.

You've already got the turbo intake piping made but you can remove that whole big cast turbo intake plenum to clean it up and get rid of the junk OEM bov. In the meantime, block the bov if you haven't. The stock turbo can take it.

You're gonna love this engine.
