varrstoens came in today, so i did a quick mock up pic before heading back to work. they're 18x10.5+0, these are gonna be my drift spares.

still waiting on ma damn XD9s to come in.

Is anyone running the AIT Nismo 270R replica front bumper?

I'm running a PBM HMIC and my stock front is just not cutting it in terms of air flow. I'm not big on body kits, but this seems like the best solution especially since AIT is having a $99 sale. I'm just concerned about fitment from what i've read.

Setup is a zenki S14 blacktop/modified gtir T28/nistune. Dyno'ed at 270/270 (wheel hp) @ 14 psi on 91. She's been down for 6 months and I pick her up today

My original intention was to keep my usdm bumper and add a zenki lip, but air flow is a huge problem with my high mount. I didn't want to kit this car (I live in so cal and undercover is the name of the game), but I don't have many options. My car is aztec red so this is what it would look like with the full 270R kit:

Right now its that, or my other option is to cut the usdm bumper to enlarge the opening. Anyone have experience modding their stock bumpers?

FULL length cooling panel, larger grill, and make some ducting from bumper opening feeding the hmic. should be good and fix your airflow problem.

What kinda high mount are your running u might be running to big of a ic cause

i live in florida beat the hell out my car stock bumper and lip and no grill with a pbm high mount and my car runs almost 2 cool with a stock therm

I'm running the same PBM high mount. The tuning shop said my core got extremely warm after doing consecutive pulls even with a fan directly on it.

hmm i never had a over heating problem or anything an i making in the 400 range on my ka-t but your best bet would be a shrouding to direct air

+1, shrouding makes a HUGE difference. You can cut the part of the bumper you don't see and do some angled metal shrouding to force the air into your rad/intercooler.

There's video of our run. I spun, lol. When for deep angle before the transition and carried way too much momentum and killed it, hahaha. Just wondering, what made you lose the drift on the sweeper? Was i going too slow for you? Blah... lol

My buddy that owns an evo tunning shop said he's down to order a set of corner lights for me if i can get over half the minimum order pre-payed. I linked him and he sent the an inquiry request with his dealer # from other products so they know he's legit. Ill keep you guys updated if theres still interest in them.
