LOL
How can New Zealand be so right and Australia be so wrong? I guess its like us and most of Canada, or Florida for that matter.

That's what happens when a forum (like Zilvia) is based out of America, Zilviakid.
You'll find drones of fanboi's and fakes, Honda-rice converted losers and poseurs. But for every 100 pieces of shyte that "grace" our pages, a few purists and true enthusiasts lead the scene with great builds as does any good forum. If this was a Canadian or w/e forum, the same would still persist. Eh?

obvious i understand that, but i was trying to make a point that was as ignorant as BHR, and generalize an entire country based off of 2 or 3 people.

NZ police are a lot more lax when it comes to modified car scene and they have a national drift series. Unfortunate that here in Aus most of us cant drive to the corner of our streets with out getting pulled over, fined and impounded (have our cars taken away from us for a month from July 1), or make us pay for a tow truck to take it home just for it being below 100mm at the lowest point of the car, or having 'excessive dimensions' (too much dish) Most cant justify building a track only car because we dont have many drift days or a drift series, due to noise complaints so the government has canned many tracks we have. Which is why a good example of car from Aus is pretty rare. to the Australian government. /rant |

Yeah that sucks and all^^
But Im from cali, originators of the car Nazi's. So your preaching to the converted. My point was more..... How can Kiwis have so much style and taste, and Aussies just plain dont? And then this happened..... Quote:
Canada, New zealand, australia and all of europe make up the other 1% of proper cars posted here. Japan doesnt count because the entire world is copying them anyway. My facts are 100% right half the, time.

bro, way to perpetuate the negative stereotype that the rest of the world already has on americans.. ignorant and stupid.. he has already explained why.. your idea of 'style' as you like to put it, is EXTREMELY illegal.. yes we'd all love to have cars with widebody flared guards with 12 inch wheels at the back with a negative offset, and practically scraping on the ground everywhere we drive, and a screamer hanging off our dump, but we cant do that.. So we make the best with what we can do.. You said you were from cali, the originators of the car nazis.. which means you would have the same strict bullshit that we have, and your constantly running the risk of having your car impounded, so you would know what its like yes.. but obviously you think in the way of "oh, you have a cool car, dump it bro, hellaflush styles, screw the po-po, i dont care about getting impounded.. Thats great for you, and i commend you for it, but me personally, if i dont have a car, i cant get to college, i cant get to work, which means i cant pay rent, which means i get default on rent, which means i get kicked out and so on and so forth.. Many other import drivers have OTHER responsibilities other than looking cool, work/uni/kids/whatever, so losing their car isnt an option.. In saying that, there are some people that do it anyways.. that live in australia.. *oh the shock* here are some fine examples 18x9 -4 215/40/18 18x10 +16 235/40/18 18x9 +15 (sitting at about a +5 due to the wilwood brakes) 215/40/18 Hankooks 18x10.5 +20 (sitting at a +10 due to lca's moved out 10mm) 235/40/18 Austyres 15x9-8F 195 55 15x9.5-6R 195 55 17×9.5 (-2) 18x10.5 (+15) Those are just a few aus cars i can think of off the top of my head with decent fitment and 'style' as you call it.. There are heaps and heaps of us down here with decent style and fitment, the pics just havent been posted up on zilvia yet.. doesnt mean we dont exist.. * hope none of those are reposts, i know marks car (the r31 skyline) has been in here before, but thats such a prime example of a clean car, it can be here again.. * |

You are correct, this thread is about "wheels and tires", but it is about flush wheels and stretched tires to achieve a certain look. One that you just haven't got yet. |

First of all you both completely missed my point. Secondly you just posted pics or practically bone stock cars with decent fitment. Not very good examples of style. Fourthly, Yes most americans are ignorant and stupid (which is kinda redundant btw) That is a fact. It is also a fact that most australians (that post) have less style than most kiwis (that post). And most candians (that post), have less style than most americans (that post) sorry fellas but the truth hurts.

I try to leave it alone and somebody always has to say something.
what post are you looking at? R32 - Stock w/wheels 180sx - Stock w/wheels R31 - stock w/wheels R33 - stock w/wheels Look at the cars he posted again and show me one unpainted anything dragging. They are all stock. Maybe you just dont know what these cars look like from the factory? Hardly everything I say is ripping someone and my comments are usually withing the rules of this thread, with MY OPINION added. Dont get mad at me because You want to argue semantics. Once again go look at my original post, nowhere did i say say that I or any american is better than anyone else. Simply stated that I find it amusing that countries in such close proximity to each other can be at such opposite ends of the style spectrum. And added that it even happens here in the states IE: CA and FL. This is the last time I will explain myself or comment on this matter, good day sir.

True, I used to think people from Virginia or Maryland were hicks, but then I moved there (yes, both places) and they are just like people here in AZ, yeah, different fads and whatnot, but they are pretty much the same for the most part.
