Which would stretch easier on a 18x10, 225/35 or 215/40?
Would anyone happen to have pictures of a 215/40 on 18x10?

I currently use 225/35 but am considering switching to 215/40, unless they would be significantly more annoying to stretch.
Thank you.

Honestly, I've found that tire size x wheel size doesn't always matter.

Different tires and different types of wheels all work differently, I found that out the hard way when I tried mounting 215/40 General uhp's on a x9.5 rpf1. It was pretty much impossible. I tried cheetah, starter fluid/brake cleaner, inner tube, blah blah blah It refused. Yet other tires mounted right up.

Anyways, to awnser your question, I think a 215/40 is easier.

The 215/40 will be taller, even stretched, correct?
The main reason I am looking to do this is because I would like to tuck up the wheels a bit higher while staying at a similar ride height.

matej, bumping up to the 40 will raise the "body"
when i used to run 35s i didnt have to lower my car as much to get the kit
to sit level, after i bumped up to 40 sidewall i had to lowered it a lot more and now
is tucking rim to get it to sit where it was before. im having a hard time deciding on
which i like more.

That looks very nice.
I ended up going with 225/40, only because Craigslist is full of them, whereas 215/40 seems to be less common.
Still like it though, lately I am into the tiny tire up front and taller tire in rear look. Race car.

I have 18x10 +10 up front and I want to slam the car. I plan on running a 225/40/18 ss595 federal. Will I have rubbing issues in the wheel well? Should I go with a 225/35/18 because I heard federal sidewalls run bigger...

^ you could make it work, thats probably your only option, especially in the front
unless you get over fenders.

Dan?

Alright. I'll be using 20/30mm fenders. I'm planning on -14 with tons of camber in front. I'm tucking wheel in the rear right now and want to continue doing so with the VS-KFs, but I need to get the front down lower. Right now, I'm reverse raked to keep from breaking tie rods and/or binding up at lock. Since I can get 225/45 rears for free all day, I figure 225/35 up front should level me out.

215/50 rear, but you get the picture. You can imagine how bad the reverse rake is with 225/45.

yes hi

ok, good your getting fenders! not sure the height difference but i think 235/40 would be better for the rear instead of 225/45. 100% do the 225 35 front.
