That's a very good sixty foot for a rwd car or any for that matter. I would focus on weight reduction. That would be your cheapest and painless route. Most likely will see a bump in mph as well.

Really good 60ft for a Rwd? first off no, it's very average at best for a rwd on slicks. Second you say that like there's a better platform than rwd for getting good 60fts at a track. Not trying to anything from your run sforteen.

The car is moving out. Some more seat time and it's in the 9'smfor sure. It's better than Ive ever done in the 240 so far. No 2 step in the car yet so I can't even leave in boost. But regardless the reason for a rwd on the track it's a average 60fy, you obviously knew that wasn't meant as disrespect it's just the way it is. Guys cut 1.2's on drag radials in street driven rwd cars. There's no better platform at the track that a rwd.

I'm sorry. Based off what I'm thinking he's running a (street car), it's respectable. Not perfect, with room for improvement. Lots of variables, track prep, weather, sea level etc. A 1.5 sixty is not bad. Then again what do I know LOL.

Alright, let's bring some life back to this thread and talk about Jon Rogers' S14. The car is a SR20VE powered H pattern monster that just recently became the fastest H pattern SR car in the world running an 8.44 @ 160mph with a 1.21 60ft on a rather small 6870 Precision turbo (class limited)! Jon and David Varner own Import Drag Solutions, who make drag specific rear coilovers for our cars. David is running an auto 2JZ S14 that is no slouch either. Glad to finally have a shock alternative to the extinct HKS sets and other expensive 1-off custom sets.
I will be picking up a set of these coilovers soon and am curious as to which others on here are running them already http://importdragsolutions.com/t/nissan

fortune auto ,stance, ksport, all make a "drag" shock.
all single adjustable . they change valving and spring rate and call it a drag shock with no control over rebound which is the number 1 thing you would want in a drag car. we have gone low 1.30s on both hks and stance . do they work? yes. do they work well? no. |

Fortune auto has double and even triple adjustable damping in their Dreadnought coilovers. I imagine a dreadnought in drag spec would perform extremely well.

that could be an option but for $7000 i would back half the car and put solid axle 4link setup init and it would work better than any irs setup you could fathom

Can't let this thread die, so much useful information in here.
Anyone going to Import VS Domestic WCF 4-6 Nov at MDIR? Looking through roll call, i see Import Drag Solution, BigDaddy Performance, and Medicine Man Racing. Hoping to see how the IDS setup handles in person |

Sorry for waking up an old thread, but it's the most info I have found on drag wheel setup
![]() I would like to run a 15x10.5w tire on a 15x10-6.5BS wheel. This is for an S14 , and my plan was to run 50mm wider overfenders to be able to pull this off. Any information on if 6.5BS for a 15x10 would fit or not , and if anyone has experience with how much wider the rear needs to be then that would be great as well Happy Silvia'n new year |

that wide of a wheel is over the recommended size for a 10.5 tire.. you need no wider than a 9.5 Im running 15x9.33 6.5 backspace on my S14.. |

What height tire? I'm running a 27x10.5x15 on a 10 inch wheel with 6.5 backspace on a s13 with 50mm over fender. I'm going to try the 27x11.5 next set of tires. Its going to be close

Why do you need so much tire? A 10.5 should be all you need. You're just adding unnecessary weight by switching to an 11.5.

That car has the 275 pro tire on it. The track is a totally different animal.

While I'll agree that the street and the track are two completely different animals, I don't think a wider tire is going to help all that much.
What are you running for suspension?

No its not but if it fits I have no reason not to try it. Its just on kyb stuts and megan springs. Front set full lose and rear full tight. It works pretty well. Hoping for low 1.3x 60s this year if I make it to the track
