I never got into the hype of the Gandors. I like the floppy dog ears.

I think East Bear and Ganador are totally personal preference. Really depends on the aero as well. I've seen all kinds of examples of cars with different aero and different mirrors in Japan that I like though. Totally depends on the car.

I had the thought initially that Ganadors and East Bear mirrors were usually too short/small for Hot Road, but I've seen them look really good. Ganador prices have gone through the roof and I felt like nearly every kouki 180 build stateside had them. They felt very Japanese 2001 style to me back in 2011, but they started to feel more American to me. I saw tons of photos of old kouki cars with stock mirrors in Japan (including Koguchi for a time, of course) and decided to give it a try this time around.

I don't mind the look at all, but I do miss my Ganadors at times as well. It's nice being able to see so well, haha. I'm not really sure I will like the Hurricane mirrors.

As for vented hoods, I can see the appeal of the factory hood for sure. I've always wanted a KP hood though so I am definitely stoked to have that thing.

ed at the body shop today or tomorrow so I'll have to get a better pic, but they both fit about the same by the time you mess with them. I've heard DMAX have gotten worse but don't know for sure.
From what I've found online and seen from others, the fitment on DMAX hood just depends on the mold they used, or what batch you get. I got mine not too long ago and fitment along the fenders and bumper is actually really good. however I have to run hood spacers because the rear vent would hit the chassis/firewall. My friends hood doesn't fit as great along the body panels but he is able to use it without spacers. It depends on your luck I guess.

As far as aero mirrors, I agree it comes to preference.

Here is mine. Was about to paint it, but will probably be parted out soon.

Red is pretty much the go-to color for Type X.

I love the car, just can't do the color anymore.

Agreed. I'm all for tucking, but this pulls off the TE's very well.

Appreciate the kind words. Definitely some grip there haha

17x9 +22 with 235/45/17 and 18x9.5 +12 with 265/35/18

I'm looking for a pair of 18x10.5 +15 to run in the back since I still have so much more room with the way my fenders are flared.

Nice looking cars on this page.

Body shop still isnt done with the KP hood- hope in the next couple days. Got sick of waiting last night so I put the stock hood back on so I could take the car to work today. Great to drive it again.

Some rad rides on this page!
- Love your work Mr Levan. I liked the car on the Meisters, but I absolutely love the TE's - there's just something about the bronze/mint green that just works!
- BoostnS13, really digging the grip-spec TE setup and the red looks super-fresh!

Thanks for the kind words guys! Really appreciate my car much more now with TE's.
The Work wheels just didn't look good to me any longer with my ride height. Went up to 235/40's in the front too which drives tremendously better.

Here's my silver car too. Haven't driven this thing in forever now
