Man w/ CTSV & a Car Seat
|
Just got home from Driftwater. I almost had a fucking heard attack. First hour was grip so I figured I'll take the car out to shake the car down and dial in the dampener setting on the FAs. Well, after about 45 mins, I was wanging it on the straight away, then BOOM, smoke everywhere, oil pressure gauge reads 0 and I go FUUUUUCK, engine's blown. Got pulled back, turns out the fucking oil filter stud snapped since I got my my damn oil cooler and oil filter relocation kit hooked up to it. Managed to take those off, got enough stud to put the filter back on.
Also saw Knoop's car, with the new wheels on, first hand. Daddy Likes!!! I like them about the same as LMGT4s. Talked to the guy who made them too and I told him, make the barrel a flat lip barrel, instead of the step lip. Forgot to take a pictures since i was too busy fixing my shit... |

Basically, this thing was threaded on to just maybe 3 threads on the oil filter stud. And it sheared off those threads. Luckily, it didnt break in the lower down the stud, or else, I would be SOL'd So I ordered a Raw Brokerage Oil filter stud and it will eliminate the whole stock oil filter block. Will get rid of this shit: Replace this with a screw on stud so I can connect my sandwich block directly to it. |

Sucks about that oil filter stem! I've seen that happen way tooooo often with the double sandwich plate stuff, just freakin crazy! That reason alone was why I went with the bolt on block style setup.
Pics look great too!

I agree! I like the height though. No offense but I don't think painted 350z wheels have ever looked good on s14s. Gold meister s1 3pc or ssr sp1 would be the bomb on there! Or even some rpf1s or something if you don't want to spend a fortune.
