Work XD9's 17x9.5 +17mm offset Hankook RS2 235/40's all around would be hard to tuck fronts since pulled the crap out of the fenders, and didn't do it smoothly, i'll get some new fenders and do a roll and add camber |

hi, i got directed here for asking if 17x9 +20 fn01r-c's will require fender pulling/rolling/hammering.
maybe anybody can help here? I've already been advised to simply pull my fenders when they won't fit, but thats not exactly what i need to know. I want to keep my fenders stock. 5zigen fn01r-c 17x9 +20 w/ 235/40 in the back, lowered by 40mm. any fender work necessary, yes or not? |

Keeping your fenders stock is pointless. Rolling them opens new doors in terms of wheel fitment, alignment, and running larger tires.

thanks for the reply. finally a straight answer.
I'd rather go with 17x8 in the rear and a 10mm spacer then. I'm kinda limited here in germany performance-wise, so I would probably never exceed horsepower or cornering speeds which would require bigger wheels than 235/40 which would fit on 8" i guess. I'm torn between the fn01rc 17x9 +20 and the 17x8 +35 +spacers wheels for the rear. damn that theres no other 4-lug fitment like 17x8.5 +30 or so |

I've already been told, but that's not the question.
"tuning" (as car modding is generally called here) has a bad reputation, so when the day of selling my S13 comes in like three years, I would probably get 500-1000$ less for my car because of the modifications done to the body. no joke. plus (and now i'll prolly get beat up here) I'm not too keen on this whole import-tuner-f&f-dori-biatch-jdm-tyte-thing. I like stock bodies with fender lips, mild side-skirts, nice exhaust, racey-light rims and track-setup-suspension, that kind of stuff. |

People actually check for rolled fenders out there?
Most wouldn't even be able to tell...

only a very very very very very smooth roll looks ok to me.
on a previous page: this small radius looks.. not good to me (sorry owner, only my very humble opinion), and this is 17x9 +12, so +20 would require a slightly smaller roll which probably wouldnt be in my interest |

That's a pull, NOT a ROLL. 18x9.5 +25 245/40/18 This is ROLL. You can't tell from looking at the outer sheet metal.

ok, I thought the difference between a rolled fender and a pulled fender is the "magnitude" if you can follow me. probably a translation issue, "rollen" is german for the action you would do to pull a fender then. sorry.
nevertheless, http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...d/mycar1-1.jpg - a lot of pull, more than 8mm i guess, so +20 would require pulling, right? |

I wouldnt run more than 2°, more will worsen breaking abilities and also slightly cornering speeds, long story short, its just unuseful. I'm far too rationalistic to do more than, say, 2.2° of camber. Ive seen wheels with lower offsets than +20 which didnt require pulling and also wheels with higher offsets that did require pulling.
damn i don't know, i need to find out how much space is between stock tire sidewalls and the fender edge, then i could calculate if i'd need a pull |

^ not trying to hate, but that really looks like shit and a pull that big isn't necessary to fit those wheels. Nothing looks worse than a huge pull for wheels that don't need it.
