I got the wrong gear ratio to be skidding 48/16 well.. skidding easily for a beginner anyways
PCD of the chain ring doesn't matter because if its the same tooth size its going to be the same size no matter what. but will that 5mm or 10mm radius difference would change my cadence for the same speed or kw of effort for pedaling ?

with smaller crank arms, you're rpm at a certain speed will be higher then the same speed on a bike with longer crank arms.
and obviously longer cranks arms = more leverage. though i have no idea how a 5-10mm shorter/longer crank set will feel. it'd be cool to have shorter arms and be able to turn corners faster |

Nope! Limited edition State Bicycle wheels. Green with Purple (Fuchsia MOTHER FUCKERS GET YOUR GOD DAMN COLORS RIGHT!) I want to get some DT Swiss purple nipples and black spokes and rebuild the wheels but its fine the way it is and I'm not gonna spend any more money on the bike unless its for a 22h threadless adapter and 1 1/8th stem to 31.8 clamp with 5degree drop and 2 inch spacing so I can use my specialized track bar and run on the velodrome.
Don't even know! I dropped my coffee in starbucks and it was because I wasn't gonna leave my bike outside! Made them make me a new one MY LIFE IS SO HIPSTER!

any recommendations for some forks?
I just snapped my steering tube, resulting in me needing new forks. so, what are some light-weight/durable forks? Preferably good for some impact as im more into the 'freestyle,' aspect of fixies. |

I would think most riders could manages downtown La on a sunday. its busy, and a city street, but not like its rush hour going to work
Hollywood @ Arclight parking garage, down to vermont, right on vermont to 4thish, left to downtown LA, roll around, take a brake, 2nd street tunnel to the lake to sunset blvd in silverlake, downhill all the way back down to hollywood? |

looks good. Your gonna want to get some peddle straps or whatever if those didnt come with them.
Did my first skid last night haha. I havent been able to put much time into riding, and the prior attempts I wasnt getting it right.

I have been able to do it in the rain assisted with a rear brake, or in the grass, but not dry without the brakes at all.

It really takes alot of effort imo, but its kinda fun. you have to have some good speed on you so its easier for the tire to brake traction.
im 43 chain ring 16 cog so its 72.6 gear inches. I also have a 45t chain ring that would bring it to 75.9 but haven't tried it yet, I need new chain ring bolts.

So someone should definatly hit me up if a Riverside ride ends up happening, I've been looking to build up a fixie to ride when I'm not out on my MTB...
What do you guys think of Velocity rims? They had some pretty cool stuff in their booth when I was out at Interbike, just never used one of thier rims.. |

Bike looks good above ^^ (cept the seat post )
Skidding gets easier the more you do it. Just took the bull horns off and went back to my straight bars. little harder to skid on them, but the bike feels more like a toy then a cycle. Old Bike GF's bike (although she doesnt ride it, to scared of the streets) New Bike, new 183rd frame, wheel set, seat post and crankset. |
