There are too many factors that come in to play when asking a question like that.
Personal preference, ride height, etc etc Ask the same question in there so it doesn't get this thread cluttered. I guarantee you'll get more than one answer there. |

First post, don't flame me too hard... Here we go, I've got an S14 and just put powered by max coils on. New wheels hit the coils. Info...
Car: S14 Coils: Powered by Max Wheels: XXR 522 17x9 +25 What size spacers do I need to not hit the coils? What size tires do I need to not hit the coils? I'd like to run at least 235s in the rear, but if it won't happen, it wont happen... I'm cool with rolling and pulling fenders all day long, just want to clear the coils by more than the thickness of a sheet of paper. Opinions please? |

10mm on the safe side. Most coilovers could get away with a 5mm. Thats only up front, rear inner-clearance will not be an issue.
You could run a 235/40 all around for a nice mild setup with the 10mm spacers. A 225/40 or 225/45 would be best with the 5mms (if they will clear your coils).

back on track now. here are a few shots of my brother's sil40 and my sil80. im not 100% on his specs, i belive they are
sil40 (M3 GREEN) 17x8/9 + 25 with 5 mill spacers. sil80 (white) work vs-xx, 4 LUG!!, i had these pieced together to get this offset on a 4 bolt wheel. R: 18x11.5 +0 245/40 f: 18x9 +5 with a 5mm spacer. 215/35 |

I have part shop max coils and 17x9.5 +15 with 3mm between the wheel and coil.
your 17x9 +25 have 4mm less inside clearance than my wheels, that's why you're hitting...
