Do you think its manageable to notch the trans tunnel for the shifter and it still be in a comfortable position if i wear to go without extending the shifter housing? Also did you extend it 2''???

I wouldnt risk it... you would probably falcon punch the radio every time you shifted into 1st 3rd and 5th. I think its a 2.5" extension and sits right in the center of the hole but dont quote me on that length.

I extended mine exactly 2inches,... and it is spot on!

...another option would be to source a soarer shifter assembly. Also extends it perfect

The throttle body looks awesome!

How much did they charge you for that? And do you know how much they took off it?

Hit up mkomar24 (member on here) Mike of Nocturnal Motorworks in St. Louis

Charged me $75 + return shipping ($10) and had it done and back on its way to me the same day he received it!

I can get you the overall measurement from the flange if you'd like - I dont know the specifics

Ill get that tomorrow

Got the CXRacing upper radiator hard pipe kit and installed it. I'm fairly impressed with the kit minus 2 minor issues. The supplied hose clamps are way too big but work and the 90 DEG coupler fits pretty loose on my KOYO radiator

Super loose

Installed - I like the look

Gets a bit close by the power steering pulley but clears just fine

Here is the loose hose clamped down... It may work... Guess we'll see if it leaks

Installed lower hose as well but it still needs a good 5-6" trimmed but looks like it lines up nicely

untrimmed it kinks pretty bad (see pic)

This bad boy came in today as well (10 Micron filter)

Mike i have to say that your build is motivating me to try a bunch of things your doing. You and flick have convinced me to go single as well. Im currently looking up all this stuff to do it, which fuel rail did you go with?
I was thinking of buying 525cc or 650s since my turbo will be smaller than yours(thinking about the GT3082r for around 400-500). Also i have most of what info i need for the single retrofit but im not quite sure how your able to control your turbos boost and such without an EMS. Could you shed some light on these?

And seriously badass paint job, super clean look!!! If mine turns out half as good as this well that will be alright! haha

Thanks for the kind words! I went with Fuel Injector Clinic for the fuel injectors and rail

Injectors (775cc) High Impeadance
775cc FIC Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE Fuel Injector Clinic Injector Set (High-Z)

Rail (Dual Feed -6AN)
Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE Fuel Rail -6 Fittings Both Sides

As for boost control I will be using the Tial MV-S 38mm wastegate with a Greddy Profec B Spec II (electronic boost controller) to control boost pressure

Goodluck with your build and make a thread with your progress

Ok that definitely helps Mike. I have a scary good idea of what im going to run now and im going to put getting my r154 off to do the single than get it early next year. Also I took a trip out to zerolift today. Met Robert and talked for awhile about my car and some options. He was nice and very knowledgeable on this swap. Also they have a nice shop, clean and neat. They seem pretty legit and seriously considering buy most of my stuff there. Im gettin too geeked for this swap!!! Haha

Thanks

More parts rolling in... Precision Turbo 3-5/8" V-band clamp and flange

The retrofit brackets for the new hella projectors

Dug these dual projectors (that i got for practically free) out of the shed. I'll be testing the retrofit on these first so that I don't ruin my mint set of triples

They are really dirty but pretty complete just missing a bracket on one light

I received my serpentine belt yesterday. I went with the Goodyear Gatorback model (part number located in pics below) and it fits quite nice for the 2JZ-GTE with NO A/C compressor installed.

Projectors came in super quick straight from HELLA (bought thru JEGS)

And I did a quick test with the factory halogen bulb to confirm the angle of the cut-off

Mmmm mmmm nice crispy cut off and it even angles the right way! Fellow drivers you can thank me later for NOT blinding you!

Also ordered a set of 55W 5000k HID's for the new projectors

Stay tuned - more to come this weekend

How does the wiring specialties harness integrate into the fuse boxes? I see that you have relocated your boxes to behind dash and was wondering if you have any issues with integrating them.

Fuse boxes are in stock locations - harness plugs in really nice everywhere

I can snap a pic of the connections if you would like

My mistake, I must have confused it with another build on here.

If you could post some pictures of the connections that would be great.

I'll get those pics today or tomorrow I haven't touched the car lately
----
Haven't done much of anything lately but I did receive my 55W 5000K HID kit in the mail so now I can finish my headlights

Been testing the headlight baking on a beat up set of dual projectors I have so I don't ruin my triples and the 225deg for 10mins doesn't get em hot enough to easily pull the glass so I'll be trying some hotter temps

Quick pic of the HELLA projectors with 55W 5000K HID's

BiG MiKE's Little Build!

Playing around with a crappy dual projector as the guinnea pig

Got the lens off and then it was on to figuring out how to remove the projector

got the new bracket and projector loosely mounted on because I can't figure out what to do with this last clip and square piece that comes with the bracket

Anyone have any ideas?

Figured out where that last tab / square went on the new projector

Disassembled the triple projectors and began the retrofit

Projector installed

Glass reinstalled

Installed on car... Still prefer the look of the bricks any day

I also dropped the gas tank last weekend to finish running the fuel lines, install pump, and just clean out that year old gas

Tank out... Fuel pump still hanging there. I'll be replacing the pump this weekend and reinstalling the tank

Installed brand new OEM driveshaft bolts

Trimmed about 2-3" off the OEM lower radiator hose and it fits like a dream

Wiring specialties connection at the fusebox (someone had a question on this)

Also redesigned the a/c eliminating bracket

Been forever since I've updated this... Got the fuel lines ran just need to mount fuel filter now and wire in AFC NEO to crank it I think... Along with some heater hoses and minor little things

Also bought some one way check valves for my gas tank vent instead of leaving it open or capped

More updates soon

for you check vavles for the fuel vent line, why did you buy 2? shouldn't you only need to run only one of those?

Do you have a picture of your setup?

i currently have my line cut and capped off, but thinking about cutting it further back, near the gas tank, and installing a check valve.. but i also have an s14, and i know that they have 2 way gas caps..
