Thanks fellas, sorry I havent been online lately, been really busy with work and the car as youll see here in the pics below. Heres the updates from the weekend......
Sorry for the delay the past 48 hours have been crazy busy so heres whats been going on. These pictures are from the wifes camera, shooting with a 50mm fixed lens is ftl so rather then be without pics I took hers. Early Sunday Morning, I cleaned the shop for about 4 hours the night before. Mr. M3 and I taped the car off Mr. M3 tried to offer me 50 bucks to leave it on the hood....lol After the Sealer was laid down. After Basecoat and flake. After Clearcoat. Kinda Hard to capture how much flake is on this car with a camera, those who have seen it know theres quite a bit...lol Today: Cleaned up the mess today, there was flake fucking everywhere..lol. Wouldve been a total disaster if we wouldnt of washed the floor before we clear coated...haha I also started putting the car back together as well. It needs a good wet sand and buff, but it looks amazing, far better then these pics below will do. I used the SLR on these so the angles are kinda funny cause I had to stand a bajillion feet away for a close up...lol Rolled the car outside to let the sun bake it. Installed the Rear Aero and Tails Installed the Front Bumper Installed the Side Skirts Then the hood. Random Shots Heres a better shot of all the flake on the car. More Updates to follow tomorrow. I would like to thank Matt(mr m3) for painting the car for me, he saved my ass from disaster cause we almost ran out of paint. Stay tuned.......

I agree, if you're gonna paint the hood at all, might as well paint it all!

Thanks everyone, and yeah the hood was pretty busted on the sides so we did that to make it look a little better. I wanted to paint the entire thing, but we were running thin on paint and it would look wavy as fuck...lol. Im going to get a new hood over winter, this one was a 50 dollar hood that needed work..haha.
The color is NSX FirePepper Pearl Metallic, with F20 House of Kolor flake. The hood says Madcou.com, its a local car forum im on and its the county I live in (Madison County)

That is so clean. Did you get new weather stripping as well?
That is my dream. To have an s13 at like, at least 1998 spec. Fresh paint, seals, undercoating, interior. Damn that would be awesome. So much work though! |

Thanks for all the compliments it does mean a lot. Its been a long build, but its starting to get so close to being completed.
Today was bracket making 101. I made brackets for the FMIC, the Headlights, as well as the front bumper for reinforcement. Amazing how fast this is turning into an actual car now...lol

absolutely gorgeous!
I've been searching for sooooo many reds to paint my car. So far yours is my favorite. I may have to do some sort of variation of it. Props to an amazing build!
