The throttle body comes from a new US company called ERA 1. They work with the local builder of Formula Drift cars, (who I have do the work on my car). They sell the throttle body for $280. It uses the standard SR intake manifold bolt pattern.

Hello Huff and Puff...
The benefits of an aftermarket TB are uncertain. Steve Shadows has published that he believes it helps responsiveness even for GT2871R setups running a stock intake manifold. Certainly once you get beyond 400rwhp my belief is that it will add hp and responsiveness. I don't have a baseline to measure only the TB addition against, but I looked at the stock TB and figured that logically it had to be restricting flow (in comparison to the other parts in the intake track). Even though I am not running beyond 400rwhp, I thought it would be a good idea to do. |

Rookie question guys and maybe quite hard to be answered, but about how much does it cost for one's engine bay to be cleaned, painted over and etc (If it were to be done to a 96 with little rusting)?

It all depends on how far you go into it and how much work you can do yourself. Prep is where you can save yourself a lot of money. I have probably $4-$600 into the engine bay in materials and final paint. However, I did all my own stripping, repairs, seam sealing, priming and prep for paint. The paint job is only going to be as good as your prep work IMO.

I do understand that this is only for engine/engine bay photos, but what's wrong with posting up some wiring progress? =P
Here's mine; I did the work by myself with some little help from my friends =\ I'm pretty satisfied with it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
