The throttle body comes from a new US company called ERA 1. They work with the local builder of Formula Drift cars, (who I have do the work on my car). They sell the throttle body for $280. It uses the standard SR intake manifold bolt pattern.

What's the advantage to a larger tb unless your pushing big amounts of boost?

Hello Huff and Puff...

The benefits of an aftermarket TB are uncertain. Steve Shadows has published that he believes it helps responsiveness even for GT2871R setups running a stock intake manifold. Certainly once you get beyond 400rwhp my belief is that it will add hp and responsiveness. I don't have a baseline to measure only the TB addition against, but I looked at the stock TB and figured that logically it had to be restricting flow (in comparison to the other parts in the intake track). Even though I am not running beyond 400rwhp, I thought it would be a good idea to do.

I agree on this as well.. Particularly with the S14/S15 SR20DET TB. Had to swap mine to the DE TB. Another option for those not wanting to spend the extra $$ is to port the TB yourself or send it to Maxbore.com

Now lets get back to awesome pics...

Go to the junk yard and grab one off a sentra with the FWD SR. 10mm larger and can have an extra pulley for cruise

Rookie question guys and maybe quite hard to be answered, but about how much does it cost for one's engine bay to be cleaned, painted over and etc (If it were to be done to a 96 with little rusting)?

It all depends on how far you go into it and how much work you can do yourself. Prep is where you can save yourself a lot of money. I have probably $4-$600 into the engine bay in materials and final paint. However, I did all my own stripping, repairs, seam sealing, priming and prep for paint. The paint job is only going to be as good as your prep work IMO.

i have about $80 in mine, i pressure washed it then sanded it all down then primed it and wet sanded it then primed it again and sprayed. i used duplicolor perfect match spray cans like 7 of them there 8oz cans. then cleared using high heat rattle can clear came out amazing imo, lots of work but it saves you lots of money

This is the sexiest bay by far IMO. Has anyone seen this motor in person? I'm curious on how the A2W intercooler is setup does it have a reservior like a drag car or a dedicated radiator?

My RB20 engine bay.
This is my drift car, so keeping the bay clean is a pain!! lol
But it's got a full wire tuck, and fuse box relocation.
All Done by DR Motorsports!

I do understand that this is only for engine/engine bay photos, but what's wrong with posting up some wiring progress? =P
Here's mine; I did the work by myself with some little help from my friends =\
I'm pretty satisfied with it.
