I've been helping around in this thread along with other members longer than you've been a part of this forum.
And you're unwilling to help me because I said 3-5 degrees of camber is good for drifting (which is a true statement)? Wow... okay how much would you recommend then if you're such an expert. I don't really care how cool it looks, 3 to 5 degrees is for track performance. Looking cool is just a bonus i guess. Anyways, I never wanted to have an argument about camber I just wanted to see some examples or suggestions. I appreciate the help.
Thanks

With the way the 240sx is designed, Macpherson strut setup in the front, and arms in the rear, it's perfect like that. Even autocross racers run 3-5 degrees of camber in the front and 0-2 in the rear. What's your point? And besides this is the WHEEL FITMENT QUESTION THREAD not the roll center, suspension geometry bla bla bla thread

Understand? I probably understand it more than you. I'm currently studying mechanical engineering at North Carolina State University and plan on getting a job in the automotive industry so, yeah, I think I understand why 3 to 5 degrees of negative camber in the front is good for drifting. I was just wondering what offset people are using who have similar camber. I guess I could do some math and figure it out, but I would rather see some examples or someone with experience to show me a good fitting wheel.
Thanks
K Mr Mechanical Engineer, so do you understand that there's a big difference between running 3 to 5 degrees? If you said 3 degrees, I probably wouldnt have said shit about it. Theres a big difference in alignment settings, all depends on what you're trying to do with the car. Just the fact that you acted all fanboy-ish about it, is the reason I started questioning your understanding. I still doubt you do but fuck it, who am I to know? I'm not college educated like you since you wanna throw that shit out there.

But suggestion for you at this point is jump into rimtuck and see what people are running, copy somebody's setup in there.

Right, I understand that it depends on a lot of different things. I probably will end up using closer to 3 degrees, but I just want to have wheels that will still look good with 5 in case I ever decide I need more. lol, but I guess I can just use spacers for that. I'll check rimtuck. And I didn't mean to sound like a douche or anything, but you guys basically just called me retarded for asking a simple fitment question, so I got a little mad haha. Thanks for the help though.

^ that was last summer. This year I cranked the camber to -5 so i can go lower with out tires hitting the body.

I'm looking to buy Weds Kranze LXZ and running them on my S14

I have origin labs front 20mm widebody and want to buy 50mm rear overfenders as well

Here's the specs of what I'm looking for

front; 18x9.5 -26
rear; 18x11.5 -52

What kind of camber and tires should I think of running?

I'd say 255 for rear and 225 for front

The tires are good but Good God...those wheels need alot of work to fit. You wont really know how much camber until you put them on. Fronts would be doable, just gotta tub the fronts and bang in the firewall side of the front wheel well.

That back scares the living crap out of me. I've seen folks run 11j +0 on 50mm fenders and they fit. Now, you're trying to stuff another 64-ish mm more on those. I'm not even sure if you can bow 50mm out to clear. You'd need 70mm rear fenders if you can even find them.

Here's a example of a 11.5 -5 on 265/35-18s

Yeah, I have searched over the wheel fitment thread for some aggressive s14 fitment but couldn't see if someone already tried that kind of size

I already put some 18x11 -7 VS-KF on pulled/rolled s14 stock fender with -3.5 camber in rear and 235/40/18 tires

I have in mind these size because of my previous fitment, it does scare me as well, hehe !

I thought with 50mm overfenders, id be able to get those 11.5 -52 for maximum lip

They have 18x11 -45 that could do the work for 157mm lip instead of -52 with 170mm lips

^OMG me and you are on the same boat. I actually emailed weds to see which disk will work with my bbk and fitment.Guys there know there shit. You can fit the 157mm lip with FRs-low face with about -5 camber. 170mm you will need to run -8 or so camber.

Can you pm where your getting your wheels from? If my wheels sell I'm ordering lxz

Also frizzle is good help to.

Is anyone here running a 17x9-15 front or rear on stock metal? wondering how it would look. My wheels are 17x9+15 but might want more aggressive look, so just wondering...edit yes s13.

On an S13? I wouldnt do it up front unless you dont like turning. You could probably get away with another 15mm spacer to get it down to +0 but I wouldnt want to push it more than that.

Okay, so what is it going to be? You are sounding like Mitt Romney right now, changing your story because you realized that you sound like a dumbass Mr. big bad ass engineer. How come you can't use your engineering skills and figure it out for yourself? Haha you're probably only in the CAD design/engineering drawing phase of your major.

Quit boasting and bragging when you dont know what the hell youre doing fanboi.

I had 18x9+10 and max camber on JIC FLT-A2's rolled. It sat flush as fuck, but at -15, youre going to pork the shit outta that wheel. Its going to look like shit.

I don't get it. What did I change in my "story"? All I said was it looks cool, but I don't care how cool it looks because it's for track performance and looking cool is a bonus... WTF are you talking about? lol @ Mitt Romney. You're like one of those people that quote stuff out of context and use it against people haha.

This one has
Work meshies 17x8 +5 215/45 and 17x9 +18 235/45

The rear looks like it has a little more offset to go before hitting fender. So it seems like a 17x9 +12mm would fit the rear ok but what about the front?
Awesome blast from the past. That's my car haha

I now run 17x9 +16 215/40-17 front and 17x10+18 235/40-17 back

^^^Its doable but it'll be close. If you roll the fenders flat and tap it with a hammer to pull it slightly, should fit.

hey all, how would a 18x11 -6 fit on a S13 for the rear with stretch. Would I need to run 30mm overs? My goal is to have a flush tuck fitment.

^^^30mm will fit, might just have to bow it out a bit to tuck the tire some and depends on the camber.

Editted: I typed offset instead of camber...

Not really possible unless you start playing around with your alignment. Pull according to what your car needs.

So i decide to go with either varrstoen 1.1 or 2.2
18x9.5 +22
18x 10.5+30
Stanze coilovers
What tires set up will work?
They are going on a s14 with z32/z33 rotors. Fenders rolled and minimal pull
Was thinking
245/35/18 up front
285/30/18 on back
Thanks for the help.

^^^Sounds good, should work. But if you pull the front a bit more, you can fit 255s. Rears, have you found tires that has those sizing? I dont remember ever finding 30 series 18s.

Ok, guys. I have 50mm chargespeeds on the way. I'm looking to go mmore aggressive with my wheel setup. So I have come across a few setups for sale here. My question is, how far can rear overs be "bowed" out? I have seen many different setups run with the overs, and all I'm really going by right now is pictures which is not the best thing to do.

I figure if I go aggressive I might as well get a setup that I will bow the fenders to make fit instead on getting a less aggressive wheel and messing around with spacers and whatnot. I'm also not looking to run a crazy amount of camber either.

I was thinking about picking up some Equips but the rear sizing is 18x13 -18 I believe. Now, I have seen another s14 with the Chargespeeds running an 18x13 -10 Wed wheel. Doesn't look like too much camber, but the car is also way lower than I am. I tried contacting the owner about alignment specs but have gotten no answer. So any help from the overfender experts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any info will help out

How much fender rolling did you have to do in the front? I'm looking at a set of rims in 17x9 +12mm size. also what size tires are you using?

Any advice about me running 18x9 +25 255/40/18 on all 4 corners. I drive a stock body s13 coupe with megan coilovers/RUCA. Spacers shouldn't be needed should they? And I want to run the minimum amount of -camber possible. I know that a roll/pull will probably be needed but nothing to drastic. Any advice would be appreciated.
