$20 spray gun from harbor freight and then get some real paint, there is a industrial urethane made by PPG called Pitthane. Mixable to any color and it's about $80 a gallon.

Boom! $100 paint job! All the prep is the damn same and using cans you'd need 16 duplicolor color match cans, that's $120.

The cool thing about spray paint is all you need is 1 drop of gasoline and it melts away!

This isn't a 240, but I thought I would post it. I am living in Wichita Falls at the moment for school, last semester I had my S14 with me. So one day this guy saw me and followed me back to my apartment and he was all about street racing and asking if I wanted to join his "crew". He told me about how they are being investigated by the police and this pointless BS I didn't care about. He was all about his Cavalier and how fast it was and all these cars that he has beat lol.. I bought a cheap 4runner to use for school now (its nice being able to just drive and not be bothered), so he passed me earlier today and I had to go back for a picture.

He added a cool new sticker to his door since I last saw him

yeah i don't really see too much wrong with that coupe..
nice parts. not flawlessly executed but i definitely don't think he's doing it wrong or even headed in that direction.
it looks halfway decent and if it's as reliable as he claims it is, i'd be in for a normal price.

That ghetto spec coupe definitely belongs in this thread. Sure, from a distance, not horrible. However, up close is an entirely different story:

- missing corner lights
- missing grille
- missing front turn signals on a daily driver
- missing fuel lid
- blacked out tails (horrible for other drivers)
- windshield covered in stickers
- open wheel wells
- ghetto rigged and ziptied coolant reservoir
- zipties holding headlights (horrible for other drivers)
- ziptie chain holding random junkyard electric fan on

It may have some decent parts, but it still looks like every aspect of the car (power, handling, looks, etc.) were "projects" that were never quite finished and now makes the whole package look half assed.

I guess it's doing it right according to the new generation of S-chassis owners, but according to everyone else from any genre of automotive enthusiasts.....it's definitely doing it wrong.

if that coupe were in the coupe love thread, it obviously wouldn't be the best looking car in there, but in this thread, it's pretty damn close to #1 haha.

lol that is such a stretch for "doing it wrong." It's definitely not worth the 10k he's asking for and really needs some mechanical work but overall that is not that bad of a build. It would take a decent enthusiast a weekend trip to the hardware store and order a few inexpesive parts to clean that up.

I want to see more sawzall jobs and just poor taste in style cars in this thread, not nit picking janky builds.
