No worries - it's to eliminate the coolant lines wrapped around the block that used to goto the stock cooler. Ill be cutting the small nipple off and rotating the outlet of the pipe towards the top making it easier and cleaner to loop the coolant back into the top of the head

Testing oil level sensor help
Is there a way I can bench test the oil level sensor with a multimeter? I have two sensors and I tested for continuity between the two pins with the floater in the up and down position, both tests on both sensors gave continuity. Am I doing something wrong or are these sensors garbage? |

Put your multimeter on resistance. Then move the float up and down and you should notice a change. But in my opinion I would get a gauge because once your light goes on its too late.

For some reason my hood is hitting the intake manifold and timing cover - my mounts aren't fully bolted down yet tho and the motor is slightly tilted still

With any tilt my hood did not close and even being perfectly level it is a tight fit. If you still have an issue once the trans and motor are bolted down and straightened out then you may have some kind of fitment issue.

Got an answer on SF. It acts like a switch but only above a specific temp. I have a auto meter electric gauge but I can't always keep my eyes on it. An additional light would be nice.

Time for a drive shaft! Where are you guys getting them from? I got a quote for a chromoly shaft from Zerolift that seems reasonable - anyone used them?

I'm running Xcessive mounts w/ stock s13 mounts. Motor mounts fit perfect but if I didn't have a hood vent on my hood I don't think my hood would have closed. Motor is tilted back ever so slightly.
Also I have the Xcessive Trans mount for the W58 I needed to open up every hole to fit to the trans mount and to bolt to the tunnel. Besides that everything worked just fine |

Just curious where people are running the grounds. I have one on back of block that's connected to the chasebays harness, the two intake manifold grounds connected to a spot of the frame, transmission ground to the firewall does that seem right? I seen some people say you need a ground from the intake manifold to the firewall is that correct?

What type of tires are you guys using for the rears on the street and what type of power are you making?
I am torn between MT ET Street Radials and Toyo ProxesTQ. Been doing a lot of research and I know that the MT's stick better than almost all street radials but they are terrible in rain and standing water. I keep reading that the TQ's are rather good with rain/water and some of the Mustang and LS guys swear that they work even for there 450+tq but are not as good as MT's. I am willing to sacrifice a bit of traction from a dig for more longevity and better response in the rain. Last thing I want to do is get caught in some rain and have to drive 35mph all the way home in NY.....I am pretty sure they would run me off the roads lol. Look forward to your feedback. PS: Just to reiterate, looking for feedback on tires you use daily/on the street. I already have some Bias Ply Radials for the track which are mounted on my z32TT wheels. @Mike.....Got my DriveShaft Shop Aluminum 1-piece years ago for $275 since they were local. Thing is still rocking and I am just having a local shop swap out the joints/flanges to fit with the R154. Wont cost me more than $100. |
