Rota P45F/P45R *Color Request Buy*

Hey guys,

As I promised, I would get you an update right when I heard from Rota about the order. It has been placed and confirmed by my contact at Rota PH. The wheels will be on Feb's production list. Unfortunately their list is already complete for this months production and so the wheels won't go into production until early Feb. My contact said that they plan to have the wheels finished in the 3rd week of Feb. and then right away put on a container. Sailing time is about one month so I should expect to see the wheels around the first week of April.

She will continue to give me updates on the status of this order and I will be sure to post them up everytime I recieve a new update.

Rota for instance did stop all production on wheels during the month of December for machine servicing and I'm sure there were other things that added to their wheel delay. It's really unfortunate to see something like that happen.

I can say for our group buy and special orders though, I have a direct contact at Rota PH and will see this group buy through myself. I am always in contact with them and can get updates on the wheels. I have already told them these wheels are a #1 priority and that I need updates every step of the way through production. Other vendors have to go through Rota USA and other people to get orders going, but with my direct contact I am eliminating this middle man and so everything should go very smooth.

I have already emailed over the order and have asked for many updates. I will keep you guys updated once I hear back from them. I am hoping the wheels will start production very soon.

i could swear i read somewhere in this topic that you were test fitting 4 p45rs on an impreza. if that's true, what's the status on that? are the same rwd offsets available in 5x100 for the impreza?

I'm rethinking my decision for wheels and I'm still not sure but am considering these again...

and is it correct that these wheels with 225/40 and 245/40 will not rub on a s14 without any fender mods?

ESone3 - Unfortunately we will not be placing an order unless we get a min of 5 people for the 4 lug version. I wish I could but unfortunately not everyone runs this aggressive of a setup on their S13 and i need to have some interest before placing the order.

Wai - We did testing of the P45R's on an EVO and we have one EVO that is actually running these rims. To do this though it does require some work. You need a 5mm spacer to clear the brembos up front on the EVO/STi and also some fender work. The EVO that has these wheels on is a track car that runs up to -3 camber. I will have pictures pretty soon of it so Ill post them up here once I get them. This offset won't be available in 5x100 though unless we get enough interest for it.

Yes the order has been made and wheels will go into production next month. We have 10 sets ordered so yes you can still get a set after they come in, unless we fill all 10 spots before then As long as you are not dropped a ton I don't think you will rub. Ken's car is super low and he says he just barely rubs on one corner. We are in Norcal so if you want to make the drive up here you can swing by our shop and pick them up

what shipping company will be used for the wheels from your company to my door? i just met the UPS guy that delivers in my area and hes a real big asshole. i just took a little while to get the door and he got pissed and threw a fit so i dont trust him.

Hey,

We use DHL. We previously did use UPS but stopped using them all together as we were having problems with damaged packages. DHL has been great so far and also they are super friendly

So far there isn't any major updates as through this time period we are just ending the month of Jan. and the wheels are still planned to go into production in early Feb. I will be sure to keep you guys posted on your Royal Black orders as the time goes on and I get some new info.


We also just added 2 more to the Royal Steel Grey list from the 350z forums(Steel Grey w/ Polished lip) We only need 2 more people on the list to make this order happen in the staggered setup!!!

For anyone that doubts s13 fitment, here's someones car with the exact same sizes/offsets. Hope he doesn't mind.....





1. rears are 18x9.5 30 offset with 265/35/18s
2. fronts are 18x8.5 25 offset with 235/40/18s.

WOW! that makes me much more confident of not having to pull the fenders at all.

Kouki, I don't know about an s14, but i'm probably going to be going with 225/40/18 front, and either 235/40/18 or 245/40/18 rear on my s13. You have plenty of room to fit a 265/35/18 on yours, and you'll need all of the traction you can get!

Mine will probbaly get painted silver or bronze. Hell I'll probably change the color every month, anything but gold w/ polished lip.

yea i was thinkin 235 up front and either 255 or 265 on the rear. not really sure yet if 265 is gonna rub with no fender rolling

I would go 235 front and 255 rear to be safe, 265 rear if you want to push it a little as you might rub. Ken is running 225 front and 245 rear on his staggered setup (black s14 pictured in this thread) and he said he's been very happy. The tires do look a little streatched and that is why I would step it up at least one tire size.

Yes, we include standard spline lugs with all of our group buy orders. Valvestems are only included if you get a wheel and tire package.

haha.........I did all the calculations, you're going to need a 20mm spacer and a 20mm over fender. I was hoping to go 9.5 all round too because I have a set of 25mm spacers laying around, but I didn't want to bother buying new fenders, painting them etc.

I'm going to back out if it takes more than a week or two to fill the list.

yeah, i'm prepared to make them fit. There are very few wheels I like, and they are all too expensive! Nows my chance to get the look I want at half the price and not get 5 lugs.

Who knows, maybe i'll buy them spacers off you?
