I believe you have to get a braided line from the master cylinder to the trans because the slave is on the opposite side? The lines for 5sp swaps work apparently. I think they may also work for the HR trans with the internal slave?

Yes I just bought an s13 steel braided line and it fits fine. My line doesn't swivel at the transmission side. So I do recommended installing that part first.

Yes the steel braided line works perfect I just ran it through the brake line grimet on the strut tower to avoid any exhaust heat.

Now as for the Dakota digital I wired it in and took a few pics but I ran out of time today to mess with it, it does work I get a reading on my speedo but it's way off tomorrow I'll post the install and show what I did to make it work

ok guys i got the Dakota Digital Installed and working but keep in mind i still need to figure out how to adjust it properly ive had very limited time recently so i havnt had time to fiddle with it all day but atleast this can show how how to get to where i am at right now.

first thing i did was get under the car and strip whats left of my ABS sensor harness on my J30 diff

then i ran two 20 gauge wires from where im keeping the Dakota box to the abs sensor and i soldered and heat shrinked the connections.

the signal is AC (alternating current) so it does not matter how you hook up the polarity to the Dakota box

then i cut the plug off the speed sensor harness and ran the wires to the Dakota box for the output signal to the Cluster, what i found was that you only need 1 wire because the second wire does absolutely nothing with the Dakota box,
the wire thats needed is the Red/yellow stripe wire the other yellow wire is not needed i have mine wired in because i did not know that.

here is my current configuration

Red - Switched Power for the box
Blue - Ground for the box
Brown + Yellow - ABS signal input its AC so polarity is not an issue

i apologize for using the same brown color wire for the output but i was running low on wire so i had to use brown that i had left over

i get the speedo to work with out 1 and out 3, 3 seems to be closer to actual MPH but its off by 5mph at low speeds and gets worse the faster you go.

i will be messing with this for the next few days and hopefully i can have a full working speedo!

yea it really sucks, im having a hard time finding a good s14 to buy, i need to wait for the adjuster to come and tell me my car is totalled and see how much he will give for the car. im also considering a Tubbed front end, the suspension seems un touched but the rad support is trashed but i dont know if its worth the trouble yet.

I'm an insurance agent so let me know if I can be of any assistance in getting your claim paid.

If it wasn't your fault then In your state the minimum property damage coverage is $10k. So you should have at least $10k to work with.

If they total it out make sure to ask what you can buy back the salvage for.

We got a local drift event going on this week so he might be busy coordinating that. HE also takes about 2-3 weeks to convert everything. If your having him mill the bell housing and shorten the shifter bracket

What exactly needs to be modified on the z33 bell housing to mate to the adapter?

It has to be milled down the thickness of the adapter plate. Should say on the maverick motorsports website.

What sly said, Its minimal
Really need to just make room for the adapter plate..
I did also have to notch the bellhousing to fit my SR megan o2 housing.
I have the HR trans and so the starter is on the driver side for that model which is why the trans had to be notched.
(DOESNT AFFECT the mounting points)

No hammer needed. It helps to keep the vibrations down. But I slid mine in oh so tightly. The second time I pulled the engine and reinstalled I massaged the trans tunnel with a hammer but it was just to clear a little space and reduce vibration.

I sent my trans to George for machining so what ever was take. Off when he removed the Bellhousing was resealed but I'm not sure what else. (08 hr trans 15k miles) mine was in pretty good shape though.

I got a new one for free.. its still plastic but hell what can you say if it cost you nothing but sweat and new fluids.

on a side note, She is up and running strong. Short clip of her purring perfectly..
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...76270833353508
This was 17psi..

Took her out today after tighting a loose bits, and boosted up to 20psi with no hiccups so im ready for the next track event.
