I took my pipe and cut one of the bends out. It just has 1 45 degree bend that leaves the turbo, and the filter sits right behind the radiator on the side. Perfect Fit.

I would like to see some pic's of underneath.

just to see the clearance avail in doing Tubs.Seems the Pinch weld Holds you back from lowering the front more than normal due to the strut Tower under section.
Angle is what I gather is the main Purpose.
Lets see some.

no pics yet, but for what its worth, my 18x10 + 20 with a 255/35/18 on it clears lock to lock with tons of room up top and up front with my tubs

has anyone built rear tubs? I have front tubs but my rear has clearance issues with my caster setting and how low my offset is on my wheels.

I<3 SR, that looks great.
What did you use to cut your metal?
What was your technique for welding? It must have taken forever!

The normal intake is shaped like an S. So i just took out 1 of the bends. (to make it into a 45 degree.) I get a pic of it, have to let my camera charge.

used electric shears and moved along slowly stichting it together so nothing warped and everything lined up properly, then fully backweld them. update soon.

Working on rear tubs for my coupe now. Just cut the fenders out but only towards the front of the car... just tubbing the front sides for a little more clearance and to make a nice clean look in a gutted interior. Haven't seen anyone do full rear tubs though
