I thought you posted pics of your engine installed a couple pages back with the mounts on right way up? It looked like it fit in there nice. Was it too far back?

Anyway I shaved part of the lip to give some adjustability in case I need to move the engine a bit forward but I hope I won't ever have to. I can get pics if you need it.

For people who know the s14 wiring well:

For the ecu relay, how is it triggered by factory? Does the ecu supply 12v for this relay or does the ecu ground this relay?

Reason I am asking is because for the 2jz the ecu supplies 12v to switch on the main relay.

For braided fuel lines how did people route them around the gas tank and into the sending unit? There is almost no space, I can't even fit my hand between the floor and tank.

Given my experience in running electrical wires, i would tie/tape the new lines to the old ones and pull ("fish") them through.

Its sort of a hybrid type intake manifold.

We bought one of those 2 pc type manifolds just for the outer Plenum
modified the factory runners and welded the Plenum to the runners.

Yea, I'll probably just run the braided lines where the stock rubber lines are, then run it across to the driver side and over the driveshaft, then from the rear driver side frame rail all the way to the engine bay.

I'll be posting pics when I'm finished, but I'd like to see other peoples fuel line setups if anyone is willing to post theirs.

as far as aftermarket availability, which JZ is supported the most? 1jz, 1jz vvti, or 2jz vvti?

i have my eyes on a 1jz vvti, and i'm shooting for around 400-500whp to the wheels and believe a 1jz will be just fine for what i need.

I can't seem to really find any parts for the 1jz vvti? I am looking for a pulley set but can't find anything!

I'd say the 2jz non vvti has to have the most aftermarket support from what I've seen

The 1JZ vvti has the least support. and any parts you usually find for it are ridiculously fucking expensive.

#1: I have that blocked off, simple piece of hose and a bolt with a clamp to block it off, haven't had a issue all the years i've been single, i suppose you could try to remove the nipple and tap it for a bolt for a better look.

#2: Is indeed for the map sensor to get it's vacuum source from.

Have you taken out the coil packs while cranking and actually verified that it is getting spark is what I mean. If you have spark and your fuel injectors are clicking I have no reason to see why it wouldnt start.

questions on the fitment of xcessive engine and tranny mounts, do they fit good? i'm going to order a pair tomorrow, just unsure on fitment..

also would an ISIS radiator be fine to cool off a 1jz? i figure it would be the same shit as a mishimoto at half the price. also will STOCK KA RADIATOR hoses work with the JZ? im going to be running a KA radiator.

let me know guys. thanks.

the MKIII lower hose will work fine. but for the upper hose, you are going to have to modify your water neck on the 1JZ to be able to run a KA radiator. if you don't want to do that, then you are gonig to need to run an SR radiator.

Question for the high HP drag racers: made 561whp 493 ft/lbs this time around and I have been snapping cv's for sometime, opt'd for dss axle bar kit and went out for the first time this season on a dead hook snapped the shaft on the outer cup that goes thru the hub and split the inner cv itself. Anyone have any ideas other than q45 planning on turning my boost down to wg pressure which is about 15 for the whole shot and running my 22 psi off a toggle for the top of 2nd beginning of 3rd. Possibly even 25-26 psi as I have a tune date on the 22nd.

Also planning on going built auto after the summer was hoping to get some insight from the op about fitment and whats required to install the auto and gear selector etc... The
5spd is just to damn violent on the back end. I also have the tech 2 swap kit currently running marlin crawler r154.

I have an aristo lower rad hose. When I fit it onto my sr20 radiator it slips over a little bit too easy for my liking. Wondering if the mk3 is the same?

The breather system runs to a fabricated baffled tank that
is located remotely from the engine bay.
