My arm chair lawyer ruling is that, they are the nearly the same excpet the dems went about it in the context of the law by having people sign off on having their ballots delivered by a 3rd party and the repubs did not and what they are doing is illegal only due to the fact the boxes are marked "official" when they are not and the people are not signing off on having a 3rd party deliver the ballot.

Seems simple. The repubs should just do the same thing the dems did. Problem solved.

The intention is clear and the methodology proves the intention. They dropped fake boxes in select locations that could be up for grabs.

They did not send out fliers for legal harvesting. They did not do phone calls informing voters about legal harvesting. They only took credit once it was pointed out that whoever put the boxes out had committed a felony.

This isn't technically illegal. This is bottom to top, without question, illegal.

Voting by mail has a history of being trusted by Americans. Trump even votes by mail. Mail in voting issues are statistically rare, and not proven to be a national issue. All these issues below are localized. There is no proof of widespread and organized national issues related to mail in ballots.
