Don't know why people feel the need to stick oil coolers externally.. It made sense on oldschool cars that had no room or possible air ducting, but on a modern car its stupid. Stick it behind the intercooler before the radiator, or under the headlight by the turn signal etc.. Its a heat ex-changer, it will still do a decent job even if not in direct air flow.

no, it made less sense on old school cars because those cars had plenty of room
