It looks way too long because nothing is bolted down. As it sits I have about 4 threads holding the LCA to the ball joint. Ill have full pictures this weekend when the car is on the ground. More pictures can be had at respecgarage.com under updates.

^ Yeah this has become my favorite thread on zilvia
Here's some work we're doing on Volchok's V-mount setup at the shop.. No particular order to the pix. Not completed yet, need to modify the endtanks on the FMIC, do piping, paint, etc.. But you get the general idea! |

Did an entirely mediocre job on my RB's temporary exhaust today. Mocked up the downpipe and catback under the car, then tacked this angle stock from the flex section (that already fit around the steering shaft) to the downpipe, and got to work:
I don't have pics of the finished piece because I threw it on and drove the car lol. Preheated the stainless where I was forced to weld to it, penetration was good and beads were nice, but it sugared all to hell on the opposite side and I'm hoping the flex sections keep it from cracking into a million pieces. I can't wait to go twin-scroll. And I really need to get some of that anti-slag spray, the gel is so-so (but better than nothing). Then this random cat asked me to take a picture of her, so I did. DAILY DRIVER.

LOL yeah, it's 'Blinkin'. I told her to get out of my picture , then she looked at me like 'yeah, right dude ', so I was like "you're such a badass..." and took the shot anyway.

Quick funny story ~ friend girlfriend is from Texas, doesn't know shit about cars, and assumes flat black = primer = jalope. She asks me when she sees the car, "Hey Jeff, does you license plate say 'Jeff $14'? Is that how much you paid for it? Good deal, I guess..." ... I lol'd my ass off.

hahaha! Nice one! *Zing*
I thought about painting it this winter (I have the money to) but I'd really like to beat the shit out of it in a seasons worth of tack days. Well see if it ends up in a K-rail by summer time lol.

Here is a fun project.
Some guy had a Ti exhaust for an evo. He brought it to Midas and asked them if they could weld an extra o2 bung into the piping. They said sure and went to work. Little did they know. You cannot mig weld Ti. Here is the hole that was created from that. Luckly I had some Ti sheet around and made a patch for it. Don't mig weld titanium people.

Looking good just somethings I would of done was polished the runners and collector ground down the tacks on the collector and ported the collector. But thats just me and it would look alot better. Good job tho your aluminum welds look great. O and mounted your intake filter somewhere else your prob going to suck up water.

I prefer the raw material look. As for the filter, I will be making some kind of splash guard once I get to that point,as I do plan on daily driving this bitch.
The pics posted of the manifold were in-progress pics. All that was taken care of Thanks on the compliments! |

Ok guys and girls, I guess I will post up a little somthing instead of just stealing all your good ideas...um did I say that?
For you Toyota fans...AE86 fender braces. I have gone through a couple of designs on this, but I like this one. They even clear the vented fenders. |
