Jaguar gave out posters of the CX-16 if you signed up for it, Subaru had this little fold-out card with the BRZ on it.

Yeah me too. The problem is that red car with what looks like a tad lower roof and much nicer rear quarter panel, is not the production model.

It's sucks, because those two things make a huge difference, at least for me.

So, has it been confirmed that neither versions will come factory turbo'd? Thats the rumor I've been seeing online.

If thats the case... I sooo don't get the point of producing both the FRS and BRZ.

No turbo at least not yet.

I would wait & see what the details are at this point.
Visuals aside there doesn't appear to be a lot of difference between the two,
at least based on the scant details provided at this point.

I'm just glad there's an alternative to something with a Scion badge
(not that it means a lot, but still if it can be avoided I don't mind it)

It actually looks kind of nice to me, and the 'Miata revival' concept looks great.
I like Alfa Romeo because they are one of the few automakers left whose cars have their own distinctive styling instead of looking like everything else.

I already hate where reverse is located. Other than that, no complaints.

honestly, its A LOT easier that way...my ex's mazdaspeed3 had the same reverse placement...you dont ever have to worry about accidentally hitting REVERSE when going from 5th to 6th like you do in the Z/G

I've never run into that problem with the Z/G personally. I've run into nothing but problems with old euro cars with that placement though. I know there is going to be some way to prevent you from accidentally doing it tho. I'm just used to the typical placement.

you have to physically push the shifter down and to the left/up to get it into reverse with the 86/MS3 setup...you can go into reverse just by normally trying to into first

If they boost it, Subaru I imagine won't push it to much as they do not want it competing with the STi!!!

I love the fact that its rolling on 17's stock. Depending on the tire profile size, 18's/19's would be good upgrades. Did NOT want to see this car on 20's or bigger.

Shame that there's still no word on the curb weight or price yet.

yes. i wish that Hyundai did this with the genesis but the wheel arches are way to big.

i think i saw that the base model would be near 20,000 and top line is mid 20's

Curb weight has been leaked already.

Weight:
2662 pounds (1210kg) for base manual (~ 2580 lbs dry weight)
2706 pounds for higher trim manual

Not me, still not feeling that front bumper. It has boy racer body kit written all over it. LOL
It's just way to busy, with to many different angles. It reminds me a lot of what both Toyota and Nissan have been doing lately design wise. Which I have not found to be flattering to the cars. IMO.

The Suburu Bumper looks more correct IMO. Hell the whole car looks better in the Suburu version. LOL Oh and if its Scion badged? I will tend to lean towards the Suburu purchase wise.

no way are they making it turbo

this this would murder an sti if it had even close to 300hp.

plus the price would go over 30g's and end up in sti land, if is filling its niche just as it is.
