Your ride may go to shit... you may blow out your damper quicker.

Death only occurs from heating your coils.

Someone please help me!!!

Ok, my hood latch broke the other day ( the bolt holes that holds the latch up broke out) I bought one from a local parts car and installed it..

Now my hood wont lock in!!! I dont know if I am missing a spring or what but the hood goes all the way into the latch, but doesnt lock (click in to hold the hood)..

Here are some pictures, any help will be appreicated thanks...

As you see the hood goes all the way down, but doesnt lock in.

Does everything look right behind here? I mean all I can remember from the old latch was it has 2 spring( big and small one) and the release cable.

HELP!!

Are there any s13 springs that go as low as the lowest of coilovers. ( like PBM for example )

If not what can I use that will allow me to tuck 18's..... or get very close.

So I just recently picked up an NA z32 rear end for the purpose of using the rear brakes and ebrake setup. Ive read the article on the z32 rear brake swap, and still dont fully understand which parts I need to use, which parts bolt up, and which parts need modifying. Can anyone who's done it give me a quick "layman's terms" run through?

Also, what else is useable off the z32 rear? I have the whole subframe, which Im told is the same as 240's? I need to replace my subframe bushings on my s14, should I put new bushings into the z32 subframe, and swap that in?

And I read that the z32 na hubs are the same, so I would assume the axle shafts are the same size- are they the same length? The diff in it is a VLSD... same as S14 SE? Gearing is the same too?

I really only plan to use the brake setup and sell the remaining parts, but in order to do so, Id like to know what ive got and where else it can be used.

Thanks

i cant see why you'd swap the subframe. i dont think they are the same anyways. id get subframe spacers if you dont want to pull your subframe out for solid bushings. you can swap the diff in. should be a direct swap. thats what i have in my s14. honestly for drifting though, id sell it and weld your open. im pretty sure with the rear brake swap you just need the ebrake cables for ebrake to work, they use a drum ebrake. the rear hubs? im almost positive they are the same. might be wrong.

How To: Ultimate z32 Brake Swap w/Lots of Pics : Nissan Tires, Wheels, Brakes and Suspension

laymans terms are essentially, brakes, ebrakes, cut the shield, z32 uprights, get a bmc, and..... i dunno. in my mind at the moment, this makes sense.

check out that link though.

Thanks for the reply. The only reason Id use the subframe (if theyre the same) is to save on downtime. Put new bushings in z32 subframe, and swap subframes, just to make things easier.

I know the diff will swap in- but is there any reason to? I already have an SE with vlsd. Is the gearing different, or is the z32 diff better in any way? Or just an OEM replacement? If so, ill just sell it.

And it looks like for the rear brakes, I need R33 ebrake cables.

What did I get myself into... lol.

My temperature gauge drops when I hit about 6k RPM, as soon as I shift it goes back up to normal. Anybody know why its doing that? Stock KA24DE also.

So I rolled down my driver side manual window too fast and broke something so I could not roll the window back up. I pulled the panel off to screw with it and the cable got twisted around the regulator i guess you would call it and I broke that trying to force the window up.

Can anyone shed some light on how to fix/replace this part? i have no a/c so windows down is crucial.

I don't know off the top of my head what pins you are referring to, but have you checked Courtesy Nissan?
