Yep. I think I purchased mine from more-japan.com, however there are a few places that offer them. I think they clean up the recesses nicely.

I'm not sure who builds/mods the best cars... but the high-end Japanese parts are a joke compared to high-end American stuff. The Katech, KRC, MGW etc parts that I have for my LS are far superior in quality and design then anything Greddy, Toda or any of the other JDM TYTE parts companies could ever hope to manufacturer. Which comes as a surprise considering the Japanese build far better vehicles from the factory.

I never doubted the US after market for a minute.

As far as "from the factory" - I agree from 1980 till around 2010. However, if you hit the car dealer lots today the US has better cars.

I agreed with you until you said "could ever hope to manufacture"

Nope. Katech is the only one of those that seems able to produce something of this caliber.

I could not agree more. I noted the same. I love my JIC coilovers but when I had the pleasure of putting my hands on some JRZ Double Adjustable coilovers, the quality trumps everything I've seen. Next coilover setup will be Euro or American based (JRZ, KW, AST). IMO save the JDM for classic resto or exterior upgrades.

More progress. All the wiring is done. I'm going to mate the flywheel/clutch/transmission to the motor. Then put it in the car. I still need an s14 style header and sr downpipe. BTW Mr. Broadfield was a huuuge influence in my build. so clean and simple and very meticulous on the details. my work isn't as professional as his though.. but definetly someone I look up to!

Have not been in this thread in a while, extremely clean stuff!! I love to see how everyone puts their spin on things.

Here are some pics from my recently wrecked D1SL 180sx competition car. Not show quality, but clean and safe.

Doing some test fitting after going back to the clutch fan. Required some cutting and grinding up front.

It's starting to resemble an actual car despite the engine harness not being plugged in! Still need to re-loom and tuck that harness, but it's getting there.
