Yea I though about it but it would be obnoxiously loud and pretty much take away the streetability thats left in the car as it is.

i decided log mani, after seeing all the 700whp ls1's with logs i thought id be ok.

one on each side like this pic below to 2 1/2 down pipes over valve covers and down the back to single 4 inch exhaust. Ill be picking up most of the materials this week hopefully.

Nice, does this mean you can give me your old exhaust? Actually, it probably wont work. Aren't the s14's bays a little wider.

Did you ever get it on a dyno in n/a form, or make a good 1320 pass?

If you're going to do the logs, consider stepping up the size of the log between each cylinder distally. And don't sweat it, cuz you're right, you're power goals should be easily attainable with that design.

I never made a 1/4 pass but i did dyno it once. This was with intake headers and exhaust on a tired 227,000 mile engine lol.

Well this is as far as i got this weekend





Then someone decided to purchase the whole motor swap and i got what i wanted for it so i sold it . Dont know what im gonna go with. I think im just gonna throw an SR2 back in and enjoy the car for a while. RB/LS1 was what i wanted but i think for the first time in my life Im just gonna keep it simple.

yeah, most people I've talked to with V8 swaps regret ditching the SR20. particularly for 240whp.

Nice to see that someone that owns a 240 is still willing to pay for quality parts and pay the amount of their worth. I was looking forward to see how the turbo setup came out, but if you were able to get rid of it and minimize losses, that's always a good path to take.

Wow, I have NO idea how I never saw this thread. Awesome build. Sad to see it go. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do now. I was planning on a built KA-T but, I'm selling the parts now (pistons, rods, turbo left - GT3071R). I'm debating between an SR and an RB. I think the SR would be cheaper and unfortunately, that's an issue for me...

300zx tranny you'll need an adapter though. Check out mazworx and vh45de.com if you're interested.

my neighbor has the hinson swap in a fc rx7 and in a s14. He loves them. We have the luxury of drivin 20 min down to STS in provo utah and gettin the remote mount turbos.. so he has those on both. His cars attract ALOT of local attention.(mostly girls!!) they both put about 400whp down and weigh less than 2700lbs. To say the leist they are fast.


i am sad to see this go. It was pretty unique. sounded good. v8 roar, but different than the domestic's.
How much did the whole thing end up costin ya anyway?
